Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Some sharply priced Grays online VIP deals with free delivery - I got D'Arenberg Cab Sav and Heirloom Barossa.

I had an earlier vintage of Jeanneret "Rank & File" before and never thought I would come across Shiraz that is too big for me. That one will knock your socks off.

Jeanneret ‘Rank & File’ Shiraz 2021 $13.99 RRP $35

Irvine ‘The Estate’ Shiraz 2021 $13.99 RRP $35

Heirloom Barossa Shiraz 2020 $14.99 RRP $40

Brand & Sons ‘Night Owl’ Shiraz Malbec 2021 $16.50 RRP $30

Mazzei No10 Toscana 2019 $18.99 RRP $54

Beresford Estate Cabernet 2021 $19.99 RRP $50

D’Arenberg Ironstone Pressings GSM 2018 $27.50 RRP $78

D’Arenberg Coppermine Road Cabernet 2019 $27.50 RRP $78
Thanks for this. Just to let everyone know most of these links still work. When combined with 'BROWSEWINE20' ($20 off), the D'Arenberg's really are a steal. Essentially $24.00 each with free delivery.

GSM or Cab Sav?
I bought both. Haven’t tried CabSav 2019 yet but tried their cheaper more “drink now” style The High Trellis CS and it was superb. I suspect that Coppermine CS 2019 would be too young to fully appreciate.

I tried GSM (2018) and I liked it a lot more than 2017 that I bought from VM couple of years back.

Cant seem to use the code as it says I need to select payment method but thinking if I enter payment details it will just go through?

... in other news, cellardoor are continuing their new found stinginess with their 'up to 63% sitewide' sale today. From what I cld see it was 63% of squealing pig tricked up pinot gin - bletch (but yes $20/btl provided you buy 6) and otherwise normal 'discounts' (eg, $55 St Peters, $18 Chalambar).

YAWN!! Do they think we're not paying any attention despite this being an invitation only exclusive site?

Yes I agree another nonsense campaign

Sorry if it has already been mentioned before but I can't seem to find... How do you get on that list ? Thanks!
I had a direct sales call from Grays and whilst I wasn't interested in the offering at the time, I asked them to put me on their email list for future specials. I will put any specials I get from them on this thread.

Wow that D’Arenberg is a steal, purchased the Coppermine! Thanks for this, and the code still works

Ulithorne Paternus Shiraz | Vivino Australia.

Has anyone purchased from or rate wines on Vivino before?

Nice Ray Jordon review, although he does seem to be taking the Sam Kim approach to rating wines! The higher the RRP the higher the points.

Thanks! How was the Heirloom?
I liked it. Here is JH 96 points review that describes it quite well
“The deep - verging on opaque - colour rings a bell warning of the arrival of an exotic full-bodied shiraz, arguing the toss on varietal expression (unctuous blackberry and licorice) and sense of place (dark chocolate) with ripe, gently chewy tannins and a benison of oak.”

Not much to add. It is on more elegant understated style but it’s on a fuller side and a very pleasing lingering finish. Well balanced and everything is in place. I think it is a bargain at that price.

I really enjoyed the 2018 vintage. Very easy to drink now, but I am concerned about the 2020 vintage. I would take the punt and if it doesn't tick your boxes, then send it back.

Quite a few comments on this previously when the 2018 on sale at vinomofo. Some bottle variation was noted but overall a good buy. Can’t comment on the 2020 but I had 1 of the 2018 and put the others down for a few more years

Tokar Estate Cabernet 6 pack at $60 (RRP $210) + $20 flat fee shipping direct from winery.

No ideas if it is good but I got 12 just because I can't control myself when something seem like a good deal ;)
Just ordered a sixer for $78 net. Had many Tokar offerings especially when they were doing similar deals during Covid. Very nice product although one of their rose A's was garbage, too watery and just like cordial but their Shiraz Tempy blend was a stunner to make up for it. Vic Cab sav needs a lot of air but when it's good, it's very good indeed. I was stalking their specials packs in the last eight months at Tokar and had nothing so this one slots in nicely thanks to your detective work Agenor. Well done indeed.
