meals over 2h45 on VA

I'm not sure where you got that from? A meal would be served on a saver fare on transcon flights from BNE/MEL/SYD to PER but not from MEL-CNS...there is no flight time based rule for meals.

The CEO announced in February that food and beverage would be included in all fares on flights 2h45m+ from "from April." Given VA's history of product implementations this does, of course, mean that we should assume it will start at 2350 on 30 April.

There is now. Meals over 2.75 hours.

Great news, will really help on the trans-Tasman flights

Unfortunately the heading on that page of the presentation was "Domestic business - continuing to enhance guest experience." Given the desire for a consistent product with NZ I can't see meals being being offered on Saver fares on the trans-Tasman run.

I would, however, be very glad to be surprised.

Will VFF ever consider the ability to transfer lounge passes to other VFF members accounts? Im not talking about the guesting rights, I'm talking about those lounge passes that are added to your account from making Silver, CC sign-ons etc. For most SG and WPs they are useless because you have entry plus guesting rights as well so the passes never get used.

Just wondering if it has been mentioned or if anyone knows if and when the Velocity website will allow bookings that include EY codeshares again? Since the move to SABRE, using the website is an absolute pain and I see from the OP that VA are working on this.

I'm just wondering will the aim be for functionality to be the same (or better) as pre-SABRE or are the functions lost (like booking reward flights to Europe) gone for good?

Just wanted to give a public thank you to the folks behind the VFF username, they have gotten a missing points (from SQ flights) problem resolved for me.

I'd been going backwards and forwards with the contact centre for a while, but it was sorted out once you got involved, and I particularly appreciate that you communicated what was going on. Thanks VFF, that gives me a bit more faith in your partner programs - which is just as well, as without them I wouldn't be flying with VA!

The Velocity Rewards site has a paucity of information. If I am trying to book a reward seat from say MEL to MNL and back, I don't seem able to discover online how many points it is (from what the call centre told me it's a massive 85000 return for economy class) nor can I book those redemption seats online.

Why can't VA realise that destinations like MNL are increasingly popular for business and leisure travel ex Oz and have its rewards site reflect that?

Increasingly popular they may be but still very small, with travel to the Philipines the lowest of all SE Asian countries by Australian Residents at 169k for 2012 departures, I would suggest they have other priorities.
