Flying AY in J, SIN to LHR and booked though QF, also WP. Told that as I am not flying QF metal that I cannot access the 1st lounge until after 7.30pm due to capacity management. First time for me, and I have been through Singapore multiple times this year, anyone else experienced this?

Currently sitting in QR lounge so not a shabby alternative and were planning to head here at sometime anyway.

Haven't experienced that, but honestly you're not missing much. I find that lounge absolute madness until the night time flights start leaving. All open air, no quiet areas, long lines for showers, no easy snacks to just grab yourself.

Table service, St Henri, gluten free chips and barramundi, been a staple for a while now, plus I was there early enough for a table.

This is pretty common and not really newsworthy. The SIN QF F lounge is frequently oversubscribed at peak periods and capacity restrictions enacted as per other OW lounges.
One of my family members has been refused access here as QF Plat but flying another OW carrier.

Sadly it’s the MO at this lounge.

As a WP flying on a QF ticket but BA metal I’ve also been bounced previously.
My family member was exact same scenario as you.
I half expected it and told them the alternatives.
To be honest it’s not a huge lounge and if I was entering at a peak time flying QF as a QF elite and not able to get a table / shower etc due to others already in on other carriers I’d not be impressed.
