What if I worded it like this.....

Sounds like you had a great weekend.

Some of us are winding you up. ;) I love flying and wouldn't hesitate doing the same thing and I would do it in economy without upgrade request if I had the time.

As for In-N-Out that is not on my to do list.

Good luck with your next planned trip.

I'm not quite at the point of spending thousands of dollars to go just for a weekend somewhere (I'm doing a long weekend up in Bali at the end of July to get away from some Perth Winter weather but at like $200 return its cheaper than going to the east coast), but maybe i should try it sometime (although not sure if the jet lag would also catch up if going to Europe or the US...)

Everyone likes to have little diversions, goals and things to try out and tell the mates about...

Some are just a bit more exotic or out of the ordinary...

Oh I totally have a flight on hold.... I just need to wait for a supplier to confirm a training course in HKG.

Which apparently will be in Oct, so hoping it doesn't conflict... .

In-n-Out are by far the tastiest fast food burger chain in the states. Have done San Jose, Las Vegas and San Francisco at Fishermans Wharf, they are all nearly always packed.

Reminds me of an JASA run i did once of MEL-SYD-ASP where I had organised with some cousins to pick up some Star Wars Lego for my son on the 40 minute layover to board the same plane again. The looks on peoples faces when suggesting I was there just to collect Lego is priceless. I also distinctly recall something amusing/disturbing on that flight of a backpacker who had packed a bbq gas cylinder in there check in luggage and being dragged off the flight to explain....

I totally understand this thread. Mrs. B and I went to TSV for dinner on Sat night, we live in ADL. Our friends just can't comprehend why we do things like this. I'm too scared to mention dinner in AKL on a particular Sat night next March.

May? I hope you mean March!

I've looked at all the photos & all I see are pics of cheesy fries adorned with some kind of dreadful looking substance leading one to think that someone had yacked up on it.
Too true, because this thread is full of social photos of:
Had a shower, spent a few hours relaxing by the pool and jacuzzi and catching up with friends......

...

Caught up with more friends for evening drinks.......

Did some shopping......

If you had said "because I can", that would have been plenty.

It's okay. My friends don't get it either.

Baby steps. As Confucious says "even the longest journey begins with one step".

Why does it need to conflict? You can do both.

A one way AS award on CX from CNS to the USA/Canada allows a stopover in HKG.

Non-USA/Canadian residemts can purchase miles again.

Happy days.
