I can't actually get my brain to work out how he does this.

Yes wonderful. I did not believe it was street art, but hey there were cats! :)

You've done well! Our plan was to transition from old family home in eastern suburbs, move to a rental place at HB or similar, while waiting for son to exit this place which we bought 12 years ago and have rented out then it was for son to live in and complete his apprentice then buy his own place. When the son lived here then so did his cat. Hence @love_the_life comment. It was a long term plan for over 10 years to downsize to here.

But last October the son moved to the UK and just last week he and his soon to be wife bought a house - the one they were living in. In Tunbridge Wells.

Now the Goolwa reference. We have a beach shack on Lake Alexandrina which is on Fleurieu Peninsula near to Goolwa. To complicate that move, my elder son and his wife just bought a home at Victor Harbor which is next to Goolwa.

The Cat. I took him here when son had just left for the UK and he looked sad. He was looking for his owner, our son 😩. We have since removed all furniture and window treatments, painted and redid the laundry and bathroom. I did keep my sons work shirt 😔 which is hidden in my cupboard.

Anyway, cat is well and truly settled. A much better day yesterday. Moving Day we had left him in the HB place with no furniture, just his scratch pole, water and food so he didn't escape when we were moving in here. Let's say he was very pleased to see hubby come back to get him.

Looks like he has made the move well.
The cats we have had seem to have quite simple needs, food, more food and their human close at hand.

Obviously only dog lovers on the Humour thread. Got no answer to this.

Let’s see here.

Anyone care to answer this?

The boss was away for a few days, he didn’t want a bar of me, she returns and he is all over her. sigh, what am I, chopped liver?

Well, that's a bit sad. Didi shares herself between the pair of us more or less equally, although she does seem to have a preference for me, as I interact a bit more with her, but when it comes to food she doesn't care who the provider is. Just goes into a feeding frenzy. Not a fussy eater.

Barry prefers my lap but prefers to sleep on hubby. Also spontaneously interacts more with him. So it's a fair-ish split
