Right as rain. Healed up nicely and is excited to be allowed to eat her kibble again. Fussy cat!
Good to hear. Our Kate, a grey British shorthair, has to have "kidney care" bickies, which she loves, thankfully. But she also has to have wet food and the trouble is, that Her Highness won't eat ANYTHING from a can or packet (she literally recoils from them, as if they've been poisoned). However, she will deign to eat freshly cooked steak.

No recent updates from Max's butler.. hope all is well
Max is good, I'm not. I made a decision not to post anymore on this site (for a while anyway), the b itchiness and nastiness in relation to covid and directed at a few select pollies here started to get to me.

I stopped reading all covid related threads, but you couldn't escape from it even in the so called "humour" thread.

So last pics of Maxie (for now, anyway). His friend the Blue Tongue has resurfaced after winter, Max is mesmerised, just stares at it, obviously he can't get to it, so that's good.

Shirt matches my eyes......

Ciao for now.
I must admit I avoid most of the COVID threads but there is still fun stuff to look at (plus the cheap alcohol)

Cats do slip off balconies. I'm moving house next month into a 2 story home, and I don't think that there is any way I can stop the cats going upstairs, they'd only see it as a challenge. Downstairs has 12ft ceilings so with flooring, the drop from the upstairs railings is about 16 feet. Onto timber floor. The railing is wide but curved and very smooth (100years of wear). The cats are used to walking on upstairs, but flat, balconies unfortunately (even balance on 3 legs but that's just showing off).

I've ordered bird spikes... which will look just SO good inside the heritage home! But they may just see that as a challenge.

Any suggestions?

I suggest that misadventure is a part of being a cat, flat cats are not uncommon as they tend to overconfidence.
We are moving up high in a couple of years, I will show cattus the view from the top of the balcony and hope his advancing years mollify his sense of adventure.
He still gets up on the kennel shed sometimes by way of the fence, but lacks the confidence to get down.
I go out at bedtime to find him loudly asking for a lift down please… I stand on a chair and can just grab a handful of cat to drag him unceremoniously off the roof.. with never a claw or complaint,.. temperament plus in this puss
