Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Just popping into say hello!

Despite my not very well thought out user name, we are certainly not a cat free zone here - we have Cleo the suspected part Ragdoll (rescue, so no real clue!) and Spock the tabby... both currently curled in a wonky ball on my feet. We also have Bundy the Samoyed - an adopted ex-show dog who does a marvelous 'sit/stand pretty' but ain't so good with come, sit, stay... we're working on him ;)

Cleo and Bundy doing their best 'please let us in even though it's dinner time and we'll beg/yowl/try and climb in your lap'... and fighting for lap space :D

So glad we aren't the only crazy cat folk with shelves for them to lounge/escape/lord over us from ;)

Leonardo, the black cat in the "Penthouse" delights in reaching up one shelf and throwing whatever he can grab onto the hapless dog below. We had to clear the two lower shelves as books, magazines, memorabilia were being unceremoniously pushed off onto the floor to create a suitable "stretching out" space.

Ok, so I warn you in advance that this is bit nerdy, but when I was waiting to get some Keys cut at a Key cobbler in Hawthorn today, I couldn't happen to notice some of the travel accessories available to purchase.

These will make my bags stand out from the crowd on the luggage carousel......surely? :)

If you buy them and only want one, I know someone who would like the second. :D

My little monsters are growing up!

Been away from them for five weeks but looking forward to seeing them in 36hrs!.

Guess we will be really adopting them, after being foster cat carers for a dozen or so cats for the past two years.

So research has been released that confirms what we already know, that cats use us as a means to an end rather than as the central point of their safety and security.

Researchers found that domestic adult cats do not look to their human overlords as their primary source of security and safety, the way dogs do.

Got a new housemate, her name is Flick and she's 8 months old. She doesn't pay rent, and she demands food a lot. But she goes alright.
