Re: The totally off-topic thread

I had to deal with dog pee, dog poop and cat vomit this morning, all before 7am...

Know the feeling, not the sort of thing one wants to deal with early morning.

Our little miss had another bad night, she must know we are going away soon and she is going back to prison. Two lots of pee and vomit in our bed, plus vomit in various other places.

Just as well we love her!

Re: The totally off-topic thread

I am not an animal person, so don't have any of those issues to deal with. I travel far too much for the responsibility of having pets. In fact you could say it would be irresponsible, self-indulgent, and possibly "animal cruelty" for me to own pets.

The issue is compounded by allergies, meaning many furry creatures make me sneeze :(

Re: The totally off-topic thread

Sometimes if you leave it long enough so relents and eats it (again)

Not even that long sometimes! I had one that gobbled up her half-digested meal again straight away. It must have been very tasty.

Reminds me of one of our cats when he had an infection on the top of his head, it burst and he ran around licking up all the pus that came out. Extremely gross.
This was in happier times and Billy is the black and white cat and the culprit of the pus incident.

Re: The totally off-topic thread

Both daughter's cats have taken a liking to the new ottoman though they don't both fit on it at once. This is Seamus looking very regal and then one to prove that daughter can still fit her feet on the ottoman when it is occupied by a furry friend. I don't think she has much room though.

hey bc..it seems we share another interest.

We also share felines who are a little naughty. My grey dsh dropped a #1 and #2 where he should not have on the lounge carpet. Then again, I have spent over fifteen hundred on him in the last month after he degloved his rear right leg and needs dressings twice a week.

Hey, they say animals keep you younger. That's a certainty. They can also make you poorer. That has happenend. But he's worth it, and his mate luckily has been zero cost over 4 years to make up for it.

Small world hey.

Re: The totally off-topic thread

Coulda been worse - your own!

Speaking of that, I had a grandmother who was incredibly regular, so regular in fact that she had a regular bowel movement at 7.40 every morning.

What is wrong with that you ask.

Grandma nevr got out of bed till 8 am !

Ohhh my.

Re: The totally off-topic thread

It's plausible enough to be true:

They are all Burmese, except for Billy the black and white, he was a domestic long hair (single coat) that we inherited. The others are a lilac, chocolate and a brown.

Re: The totally off-topic thread

The chocolate Burmese is just gorgeous (as all your cats are) like my chocolate Burmese.

She met her match at the cattery whilst i was away with a big ginger tom sitting up on the highest pillar during his play time in the middle of the room. It is higher than the pillar in the big room which my cat always gets. (She has her preferred suite and booking many months in advance ensures she usually gets it.)

She has previously intimidated other cats from getting higher than her but this one, about the same size, just ignored her. She was not happy and pranced about and made gestures etc.

It kept the staff amused and because they were in separate rooms nothing but egos were ever going to be bruised.
