I know I only just introduced you to Earl, but what I didn't say is that he was suffering from kidney failure (hence all the peeing issues we've had over the years). He'd been slowly getting worse these past few months, but didn't want to share that with you in my first post about him, a little too depressing! Anyway, he must have known to hold on til we were back from Hong Kong before letting us know it was time. He was put to sleep this morning. We had him for 6 years. He was a good cat and we'll miss him very much.

As for the Beetle, it sounds like it's going to be repaired, but parts are looking like 4-5 weeks. But I have the hire car from AAMI for that duration so it's not so bad. I mentioned I was going overseas in a week's time for a week and arranged for us to drop the hire car at the airport and to pick up a new one when we got back. Saves AAMI a week of hire car fees, and saves us a taxi ride to/from the airport!

Thanks everyone - yes, I believe the peeing issue was because of his one kidney. But despite that he was otherwise very healthy and happy. All good things must come to an end some time right?

They've been great to work with. They even handled our overseas trip well, when I suggested I return the hire car and pick up a new one when we return. Hertz on the other hand got a little confused, but that's not AAMI's fault. I should be picking up my car on Monday (finally!). I think it's only taken so long because they had to order a bunch of parts. I've also had to claim a couple of windscreens via AAMI too, and ditto with it being super easy to take care of.

The truth about having a cat and dog at home. Meet Copper and Pumpkin, they both love and hate each other. I have started to set-up wood pet gates at home, but it seems like it doesn't work as Pumpkin can jump on the other side just to annoy Copper. They always try to kill each other.

Have you had them both long? They seem to have sorted each other out - a bit of a snarl from Cooper and a swat from Pumpkin.
They are very cute.

There are a few large cat breeds and MC is one of the bigger ones. The usual size is between 4 - 8 kg and up tp 90cm toe to tail. They are are very solid cat.

Our cat won't leave me alone. Whenever I sit down she comes and sits on me really close. Even if I push her away because I'm busy on my laptop she is back in 5 minutes.
