Even with DSC, the jetstar sale was much better $ per SC for HNL with max bundles. Of course you're travelling on JQ instrad of QF but purely from a $ per SC pov. I think i found JQ flights for $450 max bundle for 70 SC ex SYD / MEL during the sale and 360 return. Those tickets are all snapped up now though.
That's assuming you are flying out of SYD. In the example I presented the origin was PER.

Blame having kids.. but been out of the game a little while. Looking to use this DSC to get back to WP (currently, SG). Does the gift voucher trick still work? That is, buy vouchers during the DSC promotion period to generate a booking reference and then use said voucher to book later and still get the DSC's (provided flights take place during specified promtion period)?

Another idea to gather a heap of points, Alice Springs to Delhi in J for $6K:

From what I can tell ASP > SYD > MEL > DEL will attract 250 status credits with a similar set of status credits for DEL > SYD > MEL > ASP meaning one could net 1000 status credits on said trip.

$6/SC is not good enough for me.

Cheaper to fly to US and get them flying AA F.

$5.9 per SC during DSC seems high price though for a status run. You could regularly get this in asia / US and EU for ~$5 per SC . Like the cathay intra asia posted before this was only $5.3 per SC

Nothing amazing about this in terms of $/SC.

A simple BNE-SYD-AKL return trip will get you down to about $4/SC, and that's based on a 2K fare. If you got a cheaper fare it would be even lower.

Have just booked MEL-BNE-AKL-BNE-MEL for $1925 = about $3.32 per SC. Can't seem to find too many lower fares, although I'm in Syd so I'll have to position as a result.
Yeah, one of the nice things about living in BNE/MEL is the extra 20 status credits :P

I'm trying to decide whether I want to do the whole
SYD-xBNE-xMEL-AKL-xMEL-xBNE-SYD thing...

I had a really tough time routing the one search through all SYD, MEL, BNE for a reasonable price, ITA would only return fares north of 3.5k. Also found that BNE-MEL-AKL was more expensive than the other way around, atleast for the dates I searched (May-July)

I'm looking in November which has BNE-MEL-AKL return for ~$1950

Bali has cheaper SCs compared to NZ.
Atm, I can't seem to find pricing on QF website that matches what the ITA output is, cause fares to DPS are coming back at like 4k? What dates/route combinations did you search?

Edit: Even then, with the best ITA fares that I can find on the route SYD-xMEL-DPS-xMEL-SYD, it still works out to be $3.67 per SC (Total fare quoted was 2643, SC earn with DSC is 720).
