BNE-MEL-PER-KTA. 200 SC for 54775 pts or 274pts per SC (very limited days availability)

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Melbourne
MEL-xSYD-ASP = 120 SC for 37811 points or 315 points/SC.

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Now there is somebody who had put in a lot of research ;) and I hope that gizzard and others here can profit from that research.

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Great effort and thanks for posting...other factors that are important for me (and probably for other as well) is departure city (where I live;)), and for me that is Sydney, avoiding having to stay (and pay) nights away from home, and availability on weekends to avoid taking any time off work...so for my circumstances Syd-Bne-Tsv return JASA for 200 SCs for around 48000 points (net 42000 points) and $230 in taxes is the best for my needs, and what i did 2 months ago...now only if I had waited 2 months to book and do the above after I received the dble SCs promo...:evil:

You might want to consider this as well then as it's possible in a day trip too.
SYD-xBNE-ISA = 100 SC for 39459 points or 395 points/SC

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Here is one that can be done in a single day from Adelaide.

ADL-xSYD-CBR-xSYD-ADL = 200SC for 70,334 points or 351 points/SC

Or for minimum points + pay you can do it for 48,000 + $153

We need a wiki or maybe a google spreadsheet for this in a nice table that can be sorted by different columns :)

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

how about BNE-xSYD-ASP-xSYD-BNE bagging 240 SC's but costing 104,847 so 436 points per SC but easily do-able in a day from BNE?

I am looking for 450 SC's in the next few weeks given I qualify for the DSC promo and the big round trip to PHE or KTA is either not available or just not doable.

will get SG with future flights anyway, for the first time ever :) with but SC run will get me WP, also for the first time ever :)

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

If you want to avoid missing a day of work or having to pay for overnight accommodation there are redeye flights from PER to BNE, SYD and MEL. So for example, you can do a triangle route like MEL-PER-BNE-MEL leaving Melbourne in the early evening, arriving and leaving from Perth late that night, arriving at Brisbane very early the next morning and then hopping an early flight back to Melbourne.

Assume you mean SYD-xBNE-TSV

It would be 200SC before doubling to 400SC.

See this post for other ideas that don't require an overnight stay:

So frustrating that I will probably be unable to get 200 SCs by end June for platinum status. I can't believe how much I have flown this year. No wonder funds are so low.

I have lots of award flights this year and could have used F lounge quite a bit.

Has anyone called QF and convinced them to apply the double SC promos even though they weren't initially selected?

I was cutting it fine fitting in the Hobart express before end of June for mine. First time WP. Tre excited :-)

I really want to do it.

I'm thinking a work trip/ weekend conference ...via a second port...points plus pay...

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Do it!!! Where are you based? Surely there could be something quick and easy one day...

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

32,000pts and $600 for a JASA MEL-xSYD-ADL return will get you 200SC in one day.

Also MEL-xSYD-ASP for 480 SC (doubled) and vv. Can't remember the cost, but it's good value.

Random date:
48,000 and $300 for 240SC return
(The SCs are before the double offer)

Thanks, and woops - way more than rechobaum needs :-) Have corrected my original post to avoid misleading anyone.
