Disposable plates in SYD business lounge

I saw paper plates in May and then back to proper plates start of September.

Seems consistent with other peoples experiences.
 
We were there in late July. QC was closed so happy to get given access to the BL, happiness turned to dismay when we saw paper plates.
 
Are QF just getting ready for the phasing out of plastic lined paper plates in NSW from 1 November 2022, with some exemptions and extensions available.


Maybe they are reducing their stocks in anticipation.

Well I'm in the QF SYD J lounge now... they are using paper plates and bowls, but proper glassware and ceramic nut bowls. There is no sign up that I can see about the dishwasher being out of order.

Why am I not surprised that Qantas has no shortage of nuts?! 🤣

And still the same this morning (Tuesday). But at least they have glasses once the bar opens. Unlike my last run through the QP a few months ago when they were using plastic cups.
