Do Tasmanian Woolworths customers really prefer the "Frequent $hopper Club"?

I have had a WR card for a number of years an live in Tassie and the card is registered to my home address

Interesting - maybe it’s only a recent thing, as when we moved to Tassie in 2018,, the WR website wouldn’t let me update my address, and when I called them, customer service said the system wouldn’t allow a Tassie address so I ended up having to cancel the card.

Our preference will be to shop at Woolies now instead of Coles. Every extra FF point helps us to sit up front on a future flight

As a long time Frequent Shopper member (and FF points collector) I don't like it, mainly because the cash back on points will be 50% of what we now enjoy. I still get Qantas or Krisflyer FF points when shopping at Woolworths and BWS anyway using credit cards.

I fully agree.

IMO this is to increase WW profit, it is an enhancement of the Qantas variety.

Plus you will get additinal FF points with the Woolworths points program. Double dipping to a seat up front

I agree, I don’t like it either - I prefer getting the $10 for 1000 points and I don’t (and won’t) fly Qantas so the FF earn doesn’t interest me at all.

I’m a member of the Bunch and we’ve been advised of Rewards/FSC scheme maintenance last weekend and again this weekend, so wonder if that’s related to these upcoming changes.

I did a shop today in Hobart and upon checkout they asked to scan my Everyday Rewards card (I think they've renamed their WOW Rewards program) instead of the FSC. Did it and it went through. Looks like its up and running.

Ditto, it got my attention. The more I think about this the more I think Tasmanian's will not be happy about the change given the reduction in points by half. It remains to be seen if the QFF points will offset the reduction.

Not up and running for locals yet - apparently we can start signing up in store or online from August 6, according to a news article a couple of days ago.

It really surprises me there’s been absolutely zero promotion or contact regarding the change from either EDR or FSC, I haven’t received any communication about it at all.

I tried to sign up for an Everyday Rewards card online and got a message saying it was not available in Tasmania after entering my address. So it sounds like we are still waiting....

I don’t understand the significant negativity in the change from FSC to Woolies / Everyday rewards in Tas.

I just spent $240 at Coles over 4 weeks (4x$60) to get $50 In Flybuys dollars.
Under the Frequent Shopper club (FSC) I would have needed to spend $5000 at Tas Woolworths stores.

The value in ALL rewards programs is in the bonus offers. FSC does not have bonuses, and I don’t count double points one day a month, advertised the night before a bonus!

I still haven't received any notification whatsoever from either F$C or WR. Apparently there's some sort of bonus points offer for switching over during August, according to the FAQs, but I can't find any details about WHAT the bonus offer actually is:

Offer is available from 00:01 AEST 06/08/20 to 23/59 AEST 31/08/20 at Woolworths, BWS or BIG W in Tasmania, online or in-store.
To get the Everyday Rewards points you need to:
- Join Everyday Rewards and add your F$C card number to the online join form.
- Complete a qualifying shop of $0.01 or more (excluding purchases of smoking products, gift cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges, donations, Carpet Care, Pre-order Kiosks, BIG W Photos, BIG W eBay, layby fees and purchases on a charge account) and scan your registered Everyday Rewards card at the checkout, or, if shopping online, ensure your registered Everyday Rewards card is added to your account, in each case before completing your transaction.
Your bonus points will then be automatically loaded onto your Everyday Rewards card within 14 business days after you complete your qualifying shop.

Have trawled through the other FAQs, but still can't find any details. Oh, and the same Ts & Cs advise that Please note that Caltex & Caltex Woolworths/EG (operated by Euro Garages Australia) located in Tasmania are currently excluded from the Everyday Rewards Program.

I was at Woolworths today, and they had a table set up with signage and a staff member encouraging people to sign up. Bonus appears to be 2000 points (if you switch to Woolworths Rewards, do the qualifying shop etc by the end of August. I'll be waiting until closer to the end of the month, as I'm nearly at 800 points now and will easily be at 1000 points in the next few weeks, so want to get my $10 off before my points get transferred and the requirement becomes 2000 points.
