Does WP guest for Qantas F lounge need to be on same flight?

I don't entirely agree with either "side".
But this has been done to death.

such hostility, although understandable, does not win

I agree. However, I have done what I was asked in January i.e. spoken to an official QF source and reported back with their statement. But despite this (which was on request of AFF members) many are unwilling to accept this interpretation by an FF agent. Which is fine, as clearly some have shown that other agents have provided contradictory advice.

I have stated that I have messaged Red Roo many posts ago. Everyone who has since posted knows this and is free to await a response. So Kangol's advice applies to everybody, not just myself. In the meantime, this is not a dictatorship and I am free to reply to any messages directed to myself or otherwise. I apologise that I do not share your self restraint.

I have addressed every argument that supposedly goes against my stance, and have simply asked that somebody show me a rule or clause that states 'QF status trumps OW status when QF flies on an QF operated flight'. Nobody has been able to show that.

You've shown no evidence either. All you've done is endlessly repeat the same flawed interpretation of the published rules, all based on something one particular QF staffer supposedly told you. That's not evidence.

defurax, as someone who waltzed out of uni with a degree in Philosophy of Science, I completely disagree. The aim in modern science is exactly that - to "prove" a theorem. If you want to just "demonstrate" a hypothesis, you should hopefully still be in highschool :)

Juddles, I highly respect your background in epistemology. I was simply trying to say that the word "proving" is very loaded in moderm science and seldom used. I'm not sure which scientific journals you read, but abstracts typically say "Here we show" or "this demonstrates". I'd be happy to discuss modern research and epistemology with you anytime over a beer! :)

Sorry for going OT...

OK - The horse has been flogged and flogged again, there is disagreement but it seems neither set of views will be dislodged.

Other than padding post counts, this thread no longer seems to be providing any further useful information.

So, before the aforesaid horse is beaten to death, I am closing this thread!
