What is it with the SYD business lounge catering these days?
There is only so much curry a human being can have in a lifetime and I have just about exhausted my allowance.
The NP duck and foie gras pie in CBR a few weeks ago was a stand out! The spicy pork belly makes a show occassionally , but it is probably not too good for the waistline hmmmm.. come to think of it have only seen this these in CBR maybe when CL is empty they off load the food into the J lounge!

I agree that it's a bit hit and miss and yes, curry is prominent.
I've never seen "Island Dining" in operation in BNE, MEL or SYD so could someone please be specific in exactly how "Island Dining" Works, what the offering is, when it is available? I've travelled frequently in the evening peaks and there's no sign of it.
I do not mind a good old "Aussie" meat pie. In fact I love them. I cannot stand a curry pie with what appears to be dry curry paste inside. Most of the pies arent that "designer" - you should be safe to try one JohnK.
And that is totally wrong. Just because some people love curry an overwhelming majority people around the world hate it. It is awful with the exception of chicken curry but the curry needs to be of the liquid variety not paste. And not spicy either....I agree that it's a bit hit and miss and yes, curry is prominent.
.... and that is a broad based assumption. Just because some people do not like curry does not mean that an overwhelming majority people around the world hate it.And that is totally wrong. Not a broad based assumption. It is fact. Curry is popular in a small part of the world and the rest do not use it..... and that is a broad based assumption. Just because some people do not like curry does not mean that an overwhelming majority people around the world hate it.

Your preference is just that. It does not mean that anyone is either right or wrong. Just that people have different preferences. Not a broad based assumption. It is fact. Curry is popular in a small part of the world and the rest do not use it.
Personally I hate curry but let's not cloud my preference with reality.
Curry is enjoyed across a large part of the world. Fact.Australia, Europe/UK, Asia including China and Japan, the Indian subcontinent, Africa - hardly a small part of the world.
Don't think there's much in the way of curries in North and South America, though.
50/50 sounds fair to me.Personally - I would be cautious about overstating curry's appeal too..... In my line of work I get to see a broad cross section of people everyday from all around the world - and I would rate it as 50/50 between curry fans, and those who are not.

Before flaming the guy did you take the time to read what he actually said. In particular the bit that said "..let's not cloud my preference with reality." To put into simple English he didn't say he was right or wrong, he said that he didn't like curries but but acknowledged that many others may well.
How does "curry is popular in a small part of the world" equate to your comment that it's saying many others like curry?
