Double Points and DSC [Book by 8/9/17, fly by 6/9/18]

So does anyone know which offer applies if your flight is eligible under both?

Both is my perhaps optimistic reading. You can't use two bonus points offers, or two bonus SC offers, but surely you can use a bonus point offer and a bonus SC offer advised in the same email. I suspect poor editing in the T&Cs.

We need a Red Roo to clarify.

I concur. The phrasing of the original promotional email says "twice the reasons to book… we are also offering…" so imagine you can double dip on both bonuses, but each bonus only applies once per leg.

That was my initial reasoning too but then I also thought surely QF couldn't be that generous?! :p

For those who want an extra bonus, remember that the 'Tasmania Sale' bookings (only to Hobart in J) finishes midnight tonight (Monday) which is day 1 of the DSC travel booking period. Tasmania sale travel is between 20-Oct-17 to 17-Jun-18, all of which is nested within the DSC travel dates. Be quick.

Nothing for me :(

Leave it to Qantas to make the T&Cs so confusing you need a degree to understand them. I went to the University of Qantas to study a Master of Qantas Loyalty but failed the first unit, Introduction to Qantas Frequent Flyer. I just couldn't get my head around the fact you can earn Y points and status credits even when flying J.

Maybe we should start collecting data.
Did anyone who got the email take up previous offers or received bonus's already this year? Eg DSC from Feb or an Aquire 50% bonus. Of it close to qualifying or not

I really don't think that would help. These offers genuinely seem to be random and even if they aren't AFF wouldn't provide a big enough sample to get a feel for it.

The lack of counting to the loyalty bonus is a bit of a disappointment, but in the end that doesn't make a huge difference especially if you'd get to Platinum or above with DSCs but without any loyalty bonuses. Last year's offer and the one earlier this year counted to the loyalty bonus (but at least the one earlier this year did not count towards the P1 Loyalty Bonus).

So now MEL-PER-LHR or SYD-SIN-LHR return in J on DSC will give 1120 SC with one loyalty bonus taking it to 1170 SC (if you take the loyalty bonus) just 30 SC and two qualifying flight segments short of retaining WP. MEL-SYD-SIN-LHR or SYD-MEL-PER-LHR return in J will give 1280 SC with one loyalty bonus taking it to 1330 SC just 70 SC short of attaining WP. Under the offer earlier this year both of those would have got two loyalty bonuses.

And that would cost . . . a year's mortgage, probably.

For what it's worth I've sent the P1 team an email seeking clarity.

$8k could be a year's mortgage for some, I guess. You'd have to have a lot of equity though or a pretty low value house to only pay that much in a year.

DSC offer email arrived 4.50pm. Whew! But bookings are hard to LHR in May next year.

For those who haven't received the email yet, I'd imagine its still coming. When companies send out mass emails, they aren't all sent at once, but usually over a 24 hour period. So fingers crossed here.

What I find interesting is that the email includes the DSC offer.. yet only DP offer shows up on the main website.....

There has to be a reason for this. Promotion seems a global one so I do not understand the difference.

But bookings are hard to LHR in May next year.

Bookings locked in: QF1 to LHR, QF10 to MEL - didn't really want Dreamliner but no QF2 availability anywhere in week of our return dates. Nice - 1280 SC in one trip.

I hope so too. But with the current promotion dates one would hope anyone getting it in the next 12 hours or so gets an extra day added to it. Even then the Europe Promotion wont align with that.

Mr TN got the email 11.30 this morning .
We have both taken up the promo before
we are both WP
I have already requalified this year
He hasn't however more than enough flights to requalify
I havn't received

Nothing for me as yet, but the boss received the offer, so here's hoping I will as well.

Deleted - wrong info - been too long a day.

I got both and am WP and took a few flights from DSC earlier this year. Currently in UK and thinking of cancelling FF home and booking a return and coming back next year - any QF flight for me
