So has anyone flown any sectors using this year's offer yet?
That's not good news. I'll be doing my bookings today, so I'll let you know how I go. I'm a bit disappointed that Business Rewards only give a paltry 5% (for my tier) whereas from memory, I used to get 10% for J bookings under Aquire. Still 5% is better than a poke in the eye, but I don't have an answer for what you are seeing.
SWMBO and I both received emails from QF promoting the offer.
I had already registered via home page. I did receive a confirmation email
SWMBO registered by clicking through on the link in her email. She did not get a confirmation email.

It seems like registering via the email link does not send a confirmation whereas using the manual form on the website does.
Speaking of Aquire / QF Business Rewards. Is it just me or the whole 5%-8% off a bit of a lie. Im trying to book SYD - CHC in J with DSC but its only giving me $50 off out and $7 off back.
Last i checked $57 is not between 5-8% of $1680. Yesterday couldnt do the search, today not even full discount.
I was thinking about doing full J on the return leg since the discount would have helped. But the full J fares dont even have a discount. DSC planning is not going well.
I'm pretty sure the % off is on the normal fare excluding gst - so it will never actually give you 5 or 8% off the standard price.
Some fares before the change didn't have the Aquire discount available, not sure if they all do now

They don't change your pnr they just create a new pnr for the other person and then link them. You can separate pnr's but not the reverse.![]()
Same think happened to me and MrsTMA. It's right up there with the usual Qantas IT competence. Suggest she needs to do it again. It's not the click-through that's enough (IME). One has to select the link on the page again and it will take you to a page where you enter your FF details. Then it sticks and you will receive a confirmation email. Better safe than sorry. No email then you have no proof you registered.
Could I call and insist they create a new PNR with the new passenger (so... I can manage the booking myself?)? Are there any other 'transactional' things that would result in a new PNR being recreated by paying the change fee?
Thank you, where do I locate this thread ? (forgive my inexperience )And there's a lot of ideas in the DSC offer thread instead of posting in a separate thread that might get overlooked.
I did get caught in the past when I altered the flight after the close of the DSC offer period and it did negate the DSC. I even rang to check and it was confirmed that the change of flight meant no bonus pointsSo Quick Question, I've got a number of flights to book which I'm now planning on paying for now prior to the 6th, If the dates etc are slightly wrong and they are edited at a later date would this then remove the DSC?

Hmmm. not sure that makes sense.
I think you mean it is 5% off the base fare but not government and carrier surcharges (which attract GST).
