I am looking to book flight on EK through to Singapore with QF code but think this only works to Auckland and not elsewhere? "Emirates operated flight with a Qantas flight number between Australia and New Zealand." Can someone confirm my thoughts?

That's my interpretation. EK codeshares only TT, otherwise must be QF metal.

One good way to save on the booking fees while earning the DSC. Do you need to pay for the entire fare with the voucher for the DSC to work?
Made enough bookings last month to qualify for WP. Vouchers would come in handy for domestic leg throughout the year.

Nope. Could probably get lowest $50 voucher and pay the rest on card with no fee either. I did it with Christmas voucher promotion

We purchased large gift vouchers last offer. We certainly received DSC on the first booking we made with a large voucher that had some credit left over. But then we struck 2 issues. It took a few phone calls to get the balance credit voucher back. They got stuck somewhere. And once issued we never got DSC on the residual bookings made with the balance.

Dates are a bit of a bummer though. Last year it strattled March / April so lined up nicely with my membership renewal date. Oh well cant have it all.

Probably a dumb question, but does anyone know whether the booking has to be ticketed during the promotional period to qualify, or simply the PNR generated? The T&Cs don't appear to distinguish between 'booking/reservation' and 'ticket'.


I have an itinerary that would allow ticketing 60 days from date of reservation. Would prefer to hold off on having to pay for the darn thing as long as I can.

It has in the past, but there is no guarantee this would continue. You take your chances.

Woo hoo, I got the email 8 hours after starting the planning for a BNE/PER trip later this month. Might also buy some vouchers, as I didn't at Xmas. SC roll was 28 Feb, so a nice start for my year (but I doubt I'll do enough flying to get to Gold, thankfully have LS and this DSC offer will help towards LG).

Might have to check BNE/MEL or SYD/PER (or vv) to see if its worth making it a "why fly direct when one can connect"

DOnt think so. THe PNR would say Christmas not now.
But buy another voucher now and book would work.

Yes but you have to chase them by emailing the frequent flyer service center. I have done this many times.
