It's happened to be quite a few more times than twice...

Looking forward to retaining WP again next year. I'll probably retain WP next year even without DSCs. I expect it'll be the first year I'll have got WP solely on travel I would've done anyway.

Just had a nice return trip Sydney-Christchurch and back, QF ticketed Emirates First Class on A380
Nice earner with my DSC voucher: 530 SC (120 each way, double SC plus earned a loyalty bonus 50 SC)
An excellent and refreshing weekend away!

FYI, today I used a DSC voucher to book a QF flight. The voucher was in my name, but I changed it to my friend's name while booking (and I have the screenshots to prove it). However, when the booking was created, I went to MMB and low and behold, it was booked under my name! Called QF - they claimed that that voucher's name could not be changed. They refunded my booking and cancelled it (though they didn't want to refund the voucher - I had to argue for that). I don't know if this was a glitch in the system or something being "enhanced" but it's a data point. Anyone else used the vouchers to book for someone else recently?

AFAIK you have always had to name the PAX when you bought a voucher. You can name anyone you like. But once named, you cannot change the PAX name.

When redeeming a voucher I have changed the name on several occasions without issue including this week. Once you've redeemed the voucher you can't subsequently change the name.

You need to make clear to the agent that this is a gift voucher you purchased not a credit voucher from cancelling flights. The two are quite different situations.

The T&Cs say "The names of the voucher recipients may be changed when you redeem the voucher at qantas.com/giftvouchers, but the number of recipients cannot be changed (you cannot increase or decrease the total number of recipients)."

Not in my experience (re: the previous post). I always have bought vouchers to myself and redeemed them for other people

Re: 2 x SC for all! (Book by 6th Mar, Travel Mar 17-Feb 19, '18)

Question for the collective brains trust: if your itinerary consists of a mix of eligible and ineligible flights, do you still earn DSCs on those eligible flights and then the regular SCs on the ineligible flights? Or does the inclusion of an ineligible flight invalidate the whole itinerary for DSCs for the purposes of this promotion?

The itinerary here is SYD-MEL-SIN-MEL-SYD with the MEL-SIN flight QF marketed, EK operated.

IF the flights are eligible they should get the DSC. The inclusion of ineligible flights doesnt / shouldnt make a difference.
As a reference point during last years DSC i had a SYD - BNE - SYD flight booked over the easter weekend. Flight out was in the promo period and the return wasnt. I got the DSC on the way out and regular on the way back. So I would think a QF EK mix should be no different.

Likewise with bonus SCs for domestic flights only. The eligible domestic sectors will get the bonus SCs when part of an international itinerary.

Yes, you will get the DSC for the eligible flights.

Previously I have flown mixed itins involving AA codeshares from transpac QF flights and DSC has been zero issue.

Another data point - flew Aug 18 and 21 domestic, DSC posted Aug 24 for both.

Re: 2 x SC for all! (Book by 6th Mar, Travel Mar 17-Feb 19, '18)

We have both received our double Status Credits for our run to NYC from Perth with stops in SYD and LAX. So 1440 SCs in one run using the double status offer. We used 56500 points each way per person to allow the upgrade fairy to get us into First Class on the long hauls off a paid for business class trip.
The double status credits can take a while to post so don't panic.

Just a quick data point that my DSC posted right on schedule. What a magical day :)

Qantas has changed my fight from SYD-MEL on 18 Dec from QF489 to QF491 - this is apart of a bigger international route (SYD-MEL-DXB-CDG). I've also done a classic reward upgrade for the SYD-MEL leg....wondering if there would be a drama with the DSC here.

I note above that the QF / EK mix doesn't rule the eligible flights ineligible but what about the QF change on the domestic leg (and the business upgrade)?

My anniversary is 31 Dec so the flight is very close to the end (and will re-qualify me for Gold).

It shouldn't have an impact at all - I have had multiple flight changes and I still get the DSC.
