I got the offer too...it's a shame that it's limited to international travel. On top of that, the promo finishes just as my new status year begins. In any event, I'll book something to score myself the last 260SCs to get me to WP...any ideas of good cheap and quick international QFs out of Brisbane? Nadi??

Hrm I just burned 72k for an upgrade and only have 80k points left. Could do some JASA's but there's no mention if these count (I can't see why not as they book into a regular fare class).

I guess I could just knock out my WP re-qual and do it all on a NAN run. $1300 for WP? That'll do me just nicely

Indeed they are. I'm taking QF20 and QF81 again next week in combo, I may ask if that combo will work but I'm guessing no. We will need to do some brain storming on JASA value over the period but there may well be limited options.

I'm guessing the BNE-NAN routing will only get doubles on the FJ codeshare flight.

Just got this offer in the mail. Could not have been better timing.

My SCs expired yesterday, so I'm sitting on a balance of 0. I will be doing a J trip to Oslo in January, which will be booked in the next week or so. So my SC earn goes from 720 to 1000 for the trip (Would be higher, but I'm doing NRI->HEL->OSL and return on AY as a company imposed cost cutting exercise).

It is annoying when a good promo like this comes along and you can't make use of it.

Indeed. It's a real shame JQ/3K don't offer *class out of PER, otherwise this would pretty much do it. Sure, it might cost ~1.5-2k, but I could steal that off someone for a few weeks

Think it might be time to take the redundancy package from work.

Aaarggghhhh! I have been waiting for a promotion like this one for ~6 years and I cannot use it. International travel for Dec/Jan, Mar/Apr and Jun has already been booked.

I don't mean to be the meanie, but this kind of promo only devalues Platinum.

And their site went down for a second and the waiting time on the phone was huge! Was told vague but fine, essentially anything international that's got QF in front of it. JASA is fine.

I also received this...having just booked and ticketed an international flight yesterday! I will requalify by the normal criteria anyway, but it would have helped with the loyalty bonuses (I would still be well short of PG). Ah well, I will still score a 50SC bonus from a previous offer...

First time l have recieved anything from QF.

I have 470 to go to retain QG, with a reset date on Feb 28, so the timing is perfect.
Also have 866,000 points in the QF bank which l have never used.

I do have some money in bank so am unsure of what to do. Would be nice to jump into J for some quick status if l could find a decent deal.

Is Bne to NZ still classed as international?
could do SIN, or like distances.
Would be prepared to drop 4K cash to achieve

Are there any decent J deals about at the moment to anywhere??

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I've got this wrong, but I'm pretty certain you earn SCs on JASA flights now. So you can use some of that massive stockpile of points to book yourself an any seat award in J, keep the cash in your pocket, and still make use of the double SC offer

edit: BNE->HKG return in J gives you 480 SCs with the double point offer, could be a nice weekend away.

Double SC's would mean I would get over 4,000 SC's in 6 weeks.

That's triple SG at least, in my membership year. I want them!

Hopefully there is a LTP at some stage.
