I simply assumed that only applied to those who had been targeted.

I just spoke to a Velocity operator who said the double promotion applies to ALL velocity members, whether you got an email or not.

I thought it applied to everyone also as its prominently displayed on their website. I'm looking forward to 240 SC for $660 landing in my account courtesy of double SC and family pooling I plan to divert the remainder of my domestic travel for next year to VA as they are streets ahead of JQ.

Okay, time to put this issue to bed, so I have sent a message to VFF:

There is come conjecture in the Double SC promo thread about whether the second round promo (issued on 31 October 6pm) is targeted or available for everybody.

powervideo posted (post #233) that with the latest Velocity statement, it is headed “Your Velocity Statement plus last days for double Status Credits” (bolding mine) and this heading appears to be the same for everybody – thus he is surmising that he is eligible for the double SC’s offer.

My comment is in post #234, based on the T&C’s in that 31/10 email which show an alternate point and there has been a bit of debate subsequently.

Then there is the thread here that only muddies the water further, particularly when the T&C’s DON’T MATCH the offer, as pointed out also by markis10's post

Can you get the Marketing Team to confirm which position is correct…look forward to clarification from VA or VFF on the thread. Can I suggest the same message is posted on BOTH threads.

Well as i posted earlier, the VA operator told me on the phone that all Velocity members get the deal. But it would be nice to have it in writing.

[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]There is a huge difference between “selected” and “all” – VA risk losing some goodwill because of the inconsistencies in your offer. Somebody mustn’t have proof read it very well before the email went out, or somebody changed their mind on “selected” and decided “all can get it” at some later stage, but this hasn’t been adequately communicated. There are also comments from members getting difference responses from the Call Centre.

I would really appreciate some info on this. I have two statements 7 /10 and 7/11 - the 7/10 does not mention this promo. I have not received an email on this topic directly and as I wasn't targetted I didn't re-read this thread. I don't think I would have changed my flights to EY due to the shortness of time between the start of the promo and travel but I have booked two rtns to MEL from SYD on QF flexi-savers that I would probably have put to DJ/VA on this basis if I had known I was eligible.

Actually I would have only switched one of them as I am travelling with a colleague but still that is another 40 SCs closer to requal than I will be now...

Ok guys, there appears to be some confusion around who is eligible for this promotion.

We would like to confirm that the current double Status Credits promo is open to all members.

Once again, please bear in mind the following qualifying dates:
Booking dates: 31 October 2011 – 13 November 2011
Travel dates: 31 October 2011 – 31 January 2012

Members must book and travel within these timeframes to earn double Status Credits.
