Interesting targetting. I presume you are a little shy of requalifying SG and they have noticed?

I always easily requalify WP each year but getting the 2400 SCs for Rewards Choice (aka PG) is usually a close call. Now, if they would notice that and selectively offer me double SCs, I'd be - or maybe :shock: :mrgreen:.

I got the same email tonight - my renewal for SG is 30 April as well and I'm currently 70SC shy of requalifying - I was waiting for this offer before booking my next set of flights - love that it's double SC!

You'll also need to fly at least four eligible flight segments[SUP]#[/SUP] each membership year on Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar (with that airline's flight number on your ticket) to retain your Platinum status.

You have already satisfied this requirement so all that is left is to reach the required Status credits to retain your status.

So don't forget to register and book now for travel between 08 Feb 2012 and 30 Apr 2012.

My requal is 31 May, and I'm well short of 1200.

Ah, vulture bait.

Funny thing is, if QF ever once deigned to offer this around non-randomly, it would most certainly result in a stampede of bookings coming over to them from me. But the voodoo never seems to strike when it's actually needed / going to result in more bookings. Meanwhile, a general double SC for J promo on VA simply can't be ignored.

The future of QF long-haul is very grim and I have no need to collect a massive amount of QFF points anymore

I have said it before but I will say it again, bonus SC promotions just punish the loyal and reward those who are not. All I ask for is a level playing field when competing for upgrades, reward seats etc but these promotions unfairly tilt the field towards some over others.

All companies are bad at it however. I notice I only get Woolies bonus point promotions when I have not shopped there for a while.
