I recieved the same e-mail today,would you beleave booked a flight from Perth - coughet a few weeks ago and that would have got me Silver if the offer was for double, but now will be 15 short when my year expires end of September even though booked PE Perth- Miami in November comming,I have put all my eggs in one basket over many years using QF, IS IT WORTH IT LOYALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wording clearly states that provided I register before 31 Aug, I will earn double SCs on any eligible flights booked and flown between 1 June to 31 Aug. I was a little late at opening my post and by the time I had seen the offer (and registered) I had already booked and flown on a certain flight. I expect that this flight will also earn double SCs even though I did not register till a week afterwards, but would like to hear if anyone agrees? It's been about 2 weeks and no sign of the double credits yet (I know it says I need to wait 6 weeks but most people seem to see them before that).

For those of you who like to understand Qantas' selection criteria, I had dropped back from SG to PS at my last renewal and the insert informing me of the offer was branded "Start your journey back to Gold", and continued: "To help you on your way back to Gold, we're offering you double Status creidts on all eligible* Qantas flights..."

No, generally these promotions are QF flight numbers only, not JQ flight numbers.

therefore it will look back at any eligible flights you have taken since 1 June. Got to love retrospectivity!!

Most people who have got the double SC's seem to have registered, then booked and flown. Patience grasshopper.

Are you upset you didn't get the promo sooner??? As you can see by the thread it only just came out (again). Many of us missed out with flights already booked (happened to me). Thems the breaks.

Provided your flights meet the criteria for the promotion you will be credited double SCs for all flights in the offer period regardless of the time you register. Hang in there, the double SCs should credit shortly.

One clarification I need is on the Intl flights part?

Does this mean I can still book Intl flights til end of August, or that I needed to have booked before 30 June but can travel til end of Aug for Intl flights?

You had to register AND book by June 30th.

From my reminder email

I received the double SC's offer with expiry in June, and booked/travelled in May/June to CDG (on CX in J but using my QF FF) - so got the points & SC's on QF but not the 'doubles'. Got a couple of domestics and a J rtn on QF to HKG in Oct booked & ticketed. And then got another email last night with the double SC's offer again but only until end September..... Only need a couple of hundred more to move from gold to platinum and hadn't really been too worried about it - but am now thinking about adding another trip to the diary just to get there this time! Which i guess is exactly the point of the offer!

Well, I'm presuming you were aware you wouldn't get double SC's on a CX flight as it's not an eligible flight under the T&C's, so you got what you should have expected. The T&C's state: " eligible* International and Domestic Qantas flights"

Absolutely, it's a win/win for both pax and QF. You get Plat and they get revenue (or a reduction in their points liability if looking at a xASA)
