Hmmm, could have sworn it said to me 100 SC's on ADL/MEL/BNE and 50 SC's for BNE/ADL. Will happily accept the additional 20 SC's :D

Then you will have the same dilemma I have faced and will have to call customer service to get them posted manually to previous membership year.

Hi John, just want to confirm - were Customer Service OK with posting your bonus SCs to the previous membership year?

I'm cutting it a bit fine, but thinking of travelling on June 30 - my reassessment date is June 30 as well, so if the bonus SCs post a few days afterwards, they will definitely fall under the next membership year.

Would be a bit disappointed to miss out on status because of a timing issue :(

SC's normally get posted back to the member year in which they are earned and it normally happens automatically.

Understand that this is the case for normal SCs, but not sure about the bonus SCs from the Double SC promotion, it looks like they are posting a few days after the flight (I believe the promotion says up to 6 weeks).

My colleagues posted a few days after the end of the status period for him so are now a flying start to his new year.

I am just waiting on 2x20 SCs to post to put me through 2400 SCs - think QFF are holding them up to delay paying 50K in points ;)

Haven't called yet as I have not heard anything about my request for Original routing credit.

Read upthread for a few members posting recently that the double SC's did not automatically post to the "year" they were earnt.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Morning everyone!

Just a concern I have about one of the terms of the DSC promotion. It reads "This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Status credit offer by Qantas per each individual segment of your itinerary. Only one Status credit offer can be used per each individual qualifying segment of your itinerary".

I have a BNE-PER-KTA-PER-SYD-BNE flight booked in the one PNR booking. When doing status runs, am I suppose to book separate flights under different booking references to be eligible for the DSC? i.e book BNE-PER then PER-KTA, KTA-PER etc etc? The above terms and conditions worries me?

That is fine. Does not need to be booked individually. The condition is there to ensure that only one SC offer applies to anyone sector.

i.e. Suppose you received the Double SC offer and say also received an offer for 50% bonus on PER-KTA flights. You cannot use both offers in conjuction with one another so only the Double SC offer will apply.

Thanks JohnK,

Just another question, I received the DSC email weeks ago and clicked on the register link but never received a confirmation email or similar. I subsequently booked a number of flights with the big SC run next weekend. However, surfing the ever so helpful AFF forums this morning, found a link to confirm if I have registered for the promo. I clicked the link and this morning received the confirmation email.

My question is, if the system only thinks I registered today on 11 June and I booked my SC run flights last week for travel next week, will my flights get the DSC?

Does not matter when you register, flights booked and flown within the qualifying period count.

I received an email extending the offer period to include July and August for all Qantas flights. This required me to register again, which I did and I received a second confirmation of registration.

I now can't find the new email with the details of the extended period (!!) - has anyone else received it? I'd just like to confirm the terms of the revised offer before booking flights.

Thanks.

Just an update for anyone interested - I called Customer Service and they confirmed that it would be OK to post the SCs to the previous membership year, if I called them to request this.

Woohoo :)

So I'm 35SC away from WP and have DSC offer.

It's looking like I have to go to NZ next week. The routing MEL SYD WEL (QF117) is looking to suit me best.

If i fly MEL SYD on a Discount Econ (10SC) even doubled it won't qual me for WP. However if I fly Economy it's 20SC (40SC with DSC) which will get me over to WP but theres no way the DSC will post in time to get me into the F lounge... is there anything I can do to convince them to let me into the F lounge? Or do I just suck it up and be happy with the J lounge?

Any help appreciated :)

Only thing you could try is print off your activity statement for the current year and the account summary page showing 35SC required and have all your booking details to prove you flew on a full economy fare. Hopefully they use common sense? Maybe even call QF once you land in SYD and see if they could do anything before you approach the lounge angels? You never know.. The SC's might just post while your in the air! Fingers crossed..

Or have you checked the appropriate thread to check if there are any WP's flying on the same flight as you?

Hopefully that all makes sense!? Goodluck and let us know what happened in SYD when you fly!

Good idea about printing off account summary & Booking Class... not sure If I want to try that/risk embarrassment of getting turned away. The original 20SC may post by the time I land but there is no way the DSC will, they usually take a few days from my experience.

I'll take a look at the other thread to see if I can be guested in...

I'm thinking a call to Q or maybe PM to RedRoo to check it out once booked and have my name added to the gust list at the door before I get there may be worth a shot...

Interested if anyone else has had the same experience of needing SC to post on your connecting flight to SYD/MEL to gain access to F lounge and how they went about it?

True! I forgot about the DSC component taking a few extra days. I haven't heard about a guest list? But if there is such a thing then it is worth a shot! Goodluck.

Hopefully someone on here has successfully done this before?

I can see I will have issues trying to get double SCs for the booking I used the gift voucher. I know medhead has posted he has had success but I am not convinced I can do the same.

JohnK: My flights booked under the double SC promotion have not posted yet
Customer Service Rep: The promotion is not over yet
JohnK: The last lot posted within 2 days and these flights haven't
CSR: I see that these flights were booked on 26 December 2011 and are not eligible for the promotion
JohnK: No. I used a gift voucher and I made the booking in May
CSR: Oh! I don't know about that you will need to wait until the end of the promotion (In other words too hard for me)
