Can get Hilton website rates ~$150 to ~$120 occasionally¹ if you know where to book.
¹ Normally within 2-3 weeks of the stays for this level.
A couple of months out and base rate over $200. Not much difference to HSW, but she likes the idea of the location. Should I know "where to book"? (I usually use the Hilton site with AAA or Gov't).
Except they don't do omelettes.Would like a bit more info on this if possible.
Tossing up between DT ($170) and HSW ($250) in a few weeks time. HH Gold... normally just have omelette's for hotel breakfast... looks like we'd need to pay $6 extra pp for this?

I was advised by both @JessicaTam and @straitman (both regulars at the DT now) to OLCI, worked a treatYeh I'd second that advice to check-in online, honestly there's not much to really upgrade you to, and at least of you OLCI then you can hopefully ensure you have a window and are high enough to avoid the worst of the street noises.
My thinking is given that the only real 'upgrade' is the higher floor river view, the fact that there is only (4??) of them and the closure of HSW means you're extremely unlikely to actually be upgraded in any sense that elite pax are used too. Plus since South Wharf closed the prices are ridiculous, almost up there with Hilton Sydney...that said, we love the location so it's still our default place in Melbourne.
As a Diamond member, we do get better access and I had rooms all the way to Level 14 IIRC. The room I had was 1115, so any xx15 room would be my choice from now on (and would have to be a higher room to escape any residual noise from the CBD)
