Thanks for that, I hunted under the foundry name, artist name etc but for some reason could not locate them. I have now found the one in Troyes by looking 'down' on Google Earth and looking at the various likely candidates. This one is Place Jean Moulin, up he road from the railway station.

My mission for the next few days is to find the others by using Google Earth.

Edit: Now also found the one in Angers - in Le Jardin du Mail.

Plus in Salvador de Bahia on Largo Terreiro de Jesus

Hello OZDUCK. I was in Troyes in 2011, and had a vague recollection of visiting the Place Jean Moulin - there is a McDonalds close by. I searched through my photos, and sure enough, there was the fountain.
It was looking a bit sad then, surrounded by temporary fencing, but it looks a little more presentable now, albeit sitting in the centre of a traffic roundabout. I've not seen any of the other copies of the fountain, although I guess I saw the one in Launceston many years ago.

I can not tell a lie, mrs.dr.ron. The Maccas. But all I had there was a coffee and some macarons. I'd had a rather awful food experience the night before at a local restaurant, with an Andouillete Pizza - the local Troyes speciality. The taste was revolting. The word 'faeces' comes to mind. The joys of travel!

I hope Drron doesn't mind me usurping his TR for a quick post about my 'fountain' search which is now complete. I couldn't find 2 of these - Buenos Aires and Valencia - by looking 'down' on Google maps/Google Earth and using the Mk1 eyeball to look for round objects in parks and roundabouts.

I give myself a pass on the Buenos Aires one as it as been basically destroyed by being moved and broken up - " Other sections of the fountain were spread throughout the city, but mistakes were made when they were reassembled resulting in differences from the original composition. " A city of fountains. Los Angelitos, the Little Angels

The Valencia one I just couldn't find by 'eye' from above. It was made harder by there being very few "SteetView" points available in Valencia's parks so I searched for all the cities fountains instead.

Ha OZDUCK - we probably have seen the one in Boston, have been to Boston Common. And the one in Valencia Spain - we were going to Valencia in October this year !!

So now for week 7.My team increased by one as a second med student decided to transfer to my team.I do enjoy teaching the students and frequently end up with more than the one I am usually allocated.But it does mean I no longer have an all woman team supporting me.
The workload is starting to taper a little as the NWRH is starting up.However the ambulance service is directed to take all patients needing a hospital from East of Ulverstone to the LGH.So still quite busy.Also it is a week on call.

The week has seen some very interesting patients both medically and their stories.One fellow was a ship's pilot.Worked at that until well into his 60s but had to retire as he got severe balance problems.But went into administration for a few more years.When his children were young he took them all in a yacht around the world for 10 years.He would take work as a pilot in various places to fund the trip.Some amusing stories of working in Libya.
Another fellow has been inducted into the Tasmanian Harness Racing Hall of Fame.An absolute gentleman and probably one of the few honest fellows.Most fame was as a trainer.
And another who took part in the Melbourne Olympics.he was unsuccessful but his brother won a silver medal in hurdling.

It is always a good idea to have a chat with those in your care rather than just concentrate on the medicine.

The week was also quite cold culminating on Saturday when at 0630 it was -1.5C and when I walked into the hospital at 0800 a balmy 0C.
Fortunately on Saturday I was able to make the last half hour of the Harvest Market which re opened that day.I was able to get some local cheeses,a slider kit for dinner and some 41 South salmon.Social distancing was perfect.

There have been some nice autumn colours though too cold or wet to really get out.But some survivors.

Still people being admitted with problems worse due to the problems with lockdown.A pity no one is counting these problems.

I bring my car around to a spot at the front door when the parking restrictions end at 1730.it is dark by then.I had noted that the Civic Square had colouful lighting.So over I went.

Didn't finish work until after 5 on friday after missing out on lunch.just had time to get to the butchers to buy some snags and bacon before they closed at 6 pm.Quite dark by then.had to walk through Princes square as that was where the closest park was.Interesting light.

By the end of the week my hands were getting very dry and wrinkled from all the hand washing.Night time moisturiser is now part of my life.
Fortunately the weekend was not very business.Probably because it was so cold.

I seem to remember your lobster rolls and now we have the scallop pies .
Which do you prefer or do you have a preference for other dishes peculiar to your travel destinations.

Week 8 was mean't to be a little easier as the Mersey hospital was to fully reopen.it didn't but the border for admissions to be taken directly to Launceston was shifted to anyone living east of the Mersey river.One of my patients on Monday actually lived across the road from the Mersey hospital.

Started the week with 25 patients but the team worked well and despite having an extra 12 new admissions from Tuesday on the unit finished the week with 12 patients.This was the third week that I got my registrar to be the Acting Consultant.She had been an intern with me 2 years ago on a previous stint at LGH.She is only a few months into her first year as a Basic Physician Trainee but she has handled the work load very well with a great bedside manner and empathy.I continue to be impressed by the quality of our young medical graduates.

The week went without drama and the work has been both enjoyable and satisfying.When it doesn't rain I go for a walk around the town.One of the benefits has been the pain from the bursa over my right hip has settled nearly completely.
I was able to pick up my next couple of Pinots for my nightly tipple.

One lunch time I ducked over to Invermay and got a spicy beef burger from Food for Dudes.Tasty but a little messy.

Saturday morning and after a sleep in went down to the harest market and bought some bacon,local cheeses and some apples.A little bit less social distancing but still pretty good for a market.

Then took a short drive to Exeter and the Exeter bakery for a scallop pie lunch.Haven't changed their recipe though only 5 scallops.Not surprised in view of the times.

That night turned the spuds I hadn't used in my curries into roast potatoes.not to bad with an old second hand oven.

If you are walking along The Esplanade during office hours pop your nose into the Custom House - if it is still used as such. As I recall it had a beautiful glass stencilled ceiling/skylight. Anyway it did so in 1984.

Obviously you are right, I had a look at the Josef Chromy Group and on the first page about the group there is a picture of the Custom House

So many of these beautiful old buildings have been removed from Customs Control - bad pun - around Australia. Unfortunately some like the one in Fremantle have not been kept in a good condition.

I thought that it was a museum? Of course there could have been several over the years. In Fremantle there are 2 Custom House & 1 Customs House that have been closed (Different spelling due to when they were built - usually without the S before Federation.)

Edit: Looking around, the one I remembered was the 1902 Custom House which is part of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Yes, the original Bond Store. They built a flash new Customs House at the 'New Wharf' (Salamanca Place precinct) in the late 1830s (designed by convict architect John Lee Archer) which was occupied abt 1840. But soon the Legislative Council was in one of the larger rooms and by 1900 the customs officers were out completely (bit of an uneven contest!!) and Lower house moved in.

But the Customs House Hotel remains on the corner opposite
