That was the end of my walk.I went to the Tourist centre and they confirmed the waterfall walks would be very dodgy.Too early for lunch so I decided just to go on a drive.Basically just about any road you go down has something enjoyable. So I took C170 from Deloraine to Weetah.Gorgeous countryside.

1603524878514.jpeg.1603524895288.jpeg.

I the went back along the highway to the Van Diemans Land creamery. They are renovating their building at the moment but have a van outside serving ice cream.

But some bad news. The Ashgrove Cheese shop is closed for renovations.I had called in on my first weekene and a massive reduction in stock and no cheese tasting.

But some bad news. The Ashgrove Cheese shop is closed for renovations.

As you informed me when we met for dinner. 🤬 So I had to miss my first ever visit on my drive home and to tease @Denali with a purchase of Amazeballs.

I love living on the east coast, but the NW of Tas really is gorgeous.

Moved on to my second bottle of gin - a local brand.

Saturday and I slept in.Took my time with my usual weekend brekkie - bacon and eggs with miso.I am terrible at plating so no picture.besides the miso is under the eggs.
Started out after 1100 and decided on an early lunch at La Mar,Turner's Beach.Early as often full on the weekend. As it was I had to sit outside but a good view.
1603623090247.jpeg.

There were quite a few older cars.must have been a show on somewhere.
So lunch was a Mediterranean lamb wrap with carrots.Washed down with a Spreyton's cider.
1603623235007.jpeg.1603623247922.jpeg.

Very nice.

I then decided to explore the western side of the Don River. On the road to the river.
1603623353206.jpeg.1603623365847.jpeg.

1603623384599.jpeg.1603623409108.jpeg.

So now at the mouth of the Don river.Went up the headland first as on the shore were just a lot of rocks.
1603623489657.jpeg.1603623503851.jpeg.

I've been told that there are a couple on here who are into rocks so i took some long distance shots.

1603708715837.jpeg.

And the bridge which I crossed just after I fell on the Don River walk.Known as the sawdust bridge.
1603708777698.jpeg.

Then I continued on the road past the Don river Railway headed to Upper Barrington. Not driven this road before and it runs through prime farming land.here peas as far as you could see.Headed to a Birds eye or Woollies Select frozen pea packet.
1603708922830.jpeg.

A little further along the road I recognised somewhere I had been before. The Tasmanian Arboretum.

A nice place to be in Spring.

If you'd photographed the ultramafic xenoliths, it would have been perfect. :) Might have even been a (micro) diamond in there - @mrs.dr.ron would have been (micro) impressed!

I do like the tall straight Tassie trees.
1603772913860.jpeg.
