I just received another 10 status credits a day after my second lot of 1000 points credited almost instantly yesterday...

Hi guys,

Checked my email today to read this update from Olivia Wirth.

I'm assuming that these temporary opportunities to earn SC's on the ground have been put in place to help those who are just a teensy weensy way from attaining status to do so? (not about retaining I presume because of prior status extension announcement.)

Anyway,

On the 18th of May my Woolies balance hit 2000 points, and auto-converted them to 1000 Qantas Points, however, I see that I was credited with the points on the 18th but the 10 SC's on WED 27th . I chose to earn Qantas Points with Woolies years ago. I did read the Ts&Cs and I'm guessing that I got the 10 SC's NOT for converting the Woolies Rewards points to Qantas Points but rather because I chose to receive Qantas Points with Woolies prior to 5th May? Which is why I can earn up to another 50 SC whilst those who made this decision after the 5th May got the 10SC just for making the choice but can only receive up to 40?

Are my presumptions correct? hehe

Has this helped or will this help anyone here attain?

No.

There is no 10 SC bonus for switching your WWR earn to QFF, you may be getting confused with the BP promo.

You will earn 10 SC for every 2000 WWR converted to QFF, up to five times. This applies to both new and existing WWR earners.

Did you receive this offer by any chance? QF Status Credits for transferring points
No I did not, but would have been useless for me anyway as I have a moral objection to paying for credit cards. Only credit cards with no annual fee are allowed residence in my wallet, which means none of them accumulate card points that can be converted to QFF, only Velocity.

I only have one (free) QFF direct earning Amex CC which wouldn't meet the terms of that offer.

That was about getting people who needed a few extra SCs (or a lot, as it worked out) over the line a couple of months ago. If you’re into a new status year, which I am, the ”extension” is history and the SCs go to retaining.

Has this helped or will this help anyone here attain?
...or retain. Yeah but not much. I have 30 WoW SCs which is 1/10 retaining Silver, 1/20 Gold, etc, and you need a few more over the retain threshold to attain for the first time.

This is not completely true. Some people get 10 for selecting Qantas, and up to an extra 40 for the spend.

Offer available to Qantas Frequent Flyer and Woolworths Rewards members who choose to earn Qantas Points with Woolworths Rewards.

Members who have chosen Qantas Points with Woolworths Rewards prior to Tuesday 5 May 2020 will earn 10 bonus Status Credits, up to a maximum of 50 bonus Status Credits. Offer available until 30 June 2020.

Wow, sorry for the misinformation. They must've added that to the promotion after it was launched, the original mail out (5th May) made no mention of it.

The emailed T&C on 13th and 19th May again made no mention of it.

Yet I can see those T&C on the website now.... weird.

(some may want to print and frame this :) )

I was wrong.

I was surprised to see 10 SC show up in my account courtesy of this promo I never got an email for or had mentioned in the monthly email.
So, yes I was wrong in thinking it was targeted. Still surprised.

I got my first 10sc today for a points conversion on Monday.

yeah I have racked up 3000 QFF points/30 SC this week thanks to a 1400 WWR point bonus offer on needed washing powder. heh. Not that I need the SC but kind of funny to see them credit in when I didn't expect a single one...

Bought my phones today from JB Hi-Fi in the end, so no WWR to convert to the last 10SC I need for gold status. Hung on for as long as could for Big W to get stock, but they never did and calling them to ask why/when was just pointless. Staff have no idea and no control. I got a very distinct 'no care' attitude that lead me to believe it will not be at all long before we're reading about the latest victim of the retail apocalypse.

And no, you cannot buy JB Hi-Fi gift cards with WW gift cards from Big W. Yes they sell them, but no, you cannot pay for gift cards with gift cards. Believe me, I thought of it and I asked specifically that question before I bought the (non-refundable) gift cards and was told in no uncertain terms that you cannot pay for one type of gift card with another type of gift card.

I just received a targeted offer to sign up to "Delivery Unlimited", which is used with online grocery shopping. It offers 3000 WWR points bonus for signing up, which will credit on July 1st. I never do my grocery shopping online, but today I wanted to see if WW has a specific product, so browsed their online shop. Within an hour I received the offer.

Got same offer by email this evening. Look forward to signing up tomorrow for 3000 points
