Earn 10 SC per 2000 WWR converted to QFF (up to 50 SC) promo

WWR is about as consistent as QF when it comes to crediting of some of their promos I've noticed. I mean I've seen instances with things like x point bonus on specific products bought sometimes post at the register after card scan.. and sometimes they do not and then post days later so you never fully know (I know there's the app now but I have not dl hoping for a bonus offer at some point lol). So sometimes I can never be sure if a expected bonus will apply at the time of purchase or not. More often than not they do, but sometimes they don't. I haven't yet figured out if there's any consistency or not to it though. For example previous week I had an offer of 150 bonus points on specific milk product purchase (ie big M).. did not post immediately but seemed to a few days later.. this week had 1400 bonus on specific Omo products.. posted at the checkout immediately! Go figure.

Overall though the system is much improved imo then it was a few years ago. Very much with the near instant (often within an hour or two) credit to QFF of points when they are due rather than the 3 monthly batch runs. That's been a very very good (for us) change.

IMHO WW really need to do some serious consolidation of their phone apps. Just search in the app store for woolworths and see how many there are. It's completely ridiculous. I'm just suffering this setting up new phones. The you-beaut brand new app they've just released (the orange one) is great for the membership card, but completely useless for storing gift card info with as it doesn't have that functionality.

The old Woolworths Money (the green app) used to do both things. It can store both the mmebership card and bar code for scanning and also store all your gift cards as well, but they've disabled updating of your points balance on the membership card now, so that number is never accurate, but you still need the half-crippled app to store your gift cards, and you need the new one if you want to know an accurate number for your rewards points balance and whether you have any fuel vouchers to use. It's a ridiculous setup.

The new app also needs an option similar to e-Receipts so you can tap on Bonus Points entries to see a brief description for the points awarded eg something like "Woolworths COOK Range offer 15 May to 11 Jun transacted 10 Jun 20"

Would make reconciling multiple offers a lot easier.

The green Money app still shows current membership card points balance. It might say "Validation Required" rather than show the little sync arrows - just tap and login to your account again...

If anyone hasn't earned the full 50SC yet, $50 eBay gift cards earn 1000 points this week. Buy 10 gift cards, easy 50SC.

I ended up doing this with 4 x $100 'Ultimate for Him' cards (Super Cheap Auto/BCA) last week and can confirm this works, SC dropped next business day.

How did that work? Offer only commenced today but your points show as posting on the 19th.

I purchased the 'Ultimate for Him' cards they were doing the same promo on last week, which I'll use at SCA. If I had known eBay was coming this week I would've waited!

Planning to pick up a couple, wont be aiming for all the SC but a few would be good. Endota I can definitely use.

The potential for the Ebay cards was identified more than a week before the offer started. And it was confirmed 2 days before the offer did start.

This is truly amazing offer. I wish I lived in Australia to be able to take advantage of it as I could do with the Status Credits and could easily use the gift cards.

It is a shame these kind of deals aren't available online for overseas QFF members as I'm sure many like me would love to take part even if they had to pay an extra fee for overseas processing or postage etc.

That's just the way it is unfortunately. There's no economy of scale for QF to do something like this with foreign retailers. How many airlines outside of Australia have similar arrangements with retailers inside of Australia? Very few I would say.

Yes I agree. In the UK the only major supermarket deal that I can think of is Tesco who partner with British Airways Avios. There may be others but it is the only one I'm aware of. I'm sure it is a similar situation in most countries. Qantas have only very recently become available on American Express Membership Rewards in the UK.

As you say it is unlikely that many Australian retailers have partnerships with airlines outside of Australia as there is not likely to be much demand.

What I sort of meant though was it is a shame that Woolworths don't sell these kind of things online to overseas residents.

Where possible I already purchase via the Australian ebay website so that I can get Qantas points. It isn't always possible as some things are only listed on country specific ebay sites.

Just realised that I have 50SC only because of the 10SC earned from BP. Need to go down to Woolies and get that last 10SC.

I managed 40 of the 50 available; now sitting on 590sc and my year ends today but fortunately parental pause means I have another 12 months to get that last 10sc.

yeah my last 1000 points posted on sunday when it clicked over in WWR and the SC posted tody so have the max 50. Don't need them but eh. points go to points club and I didn't go out of my way with spend (OK a few extra boxes of Omo for 1400 WWR points each no biggie.. we all have to wash clothes!! :) ) so that was a fun little promo

Looks like Qantas just ran a batch job to post missing sc for this offer. I just got mine, finally, for purchases and WWR -> Qantas points conversion dated early May and mid May...
