also good to remember that MAS/Enrich "usually" (well they have the last 3 years) about November/December have a 50% redemption sale too, and usually to all major ports. i like to wait for this before booking anything for next year. makes J travel very cheap. oops i can hear an F1 car roaring past me now.

Bonus miles posted already within a week of the transfer, a much more pleasant experience than the Westpac episode last year. Well done AMEX

So bonus lagged by 1 week for you?

I miss the 25% they had 2 years ago and bonus came on the same day as the tf.

Yep ,about 1 week between transfer and bonus points arriving. Both sent from amex

MH tend to have a number throughout the year. Unfortunately for me they often are for flights that need to taken soon. My leave is not normally that flexible.

Could someone with 51,000 or more points in their Enrich account help me out? (My points earmarked for Enrich are still sitting in Altitude points.)

I'm looking at BNE-KUL-LHR and CDG-KUL-BNE J redemptions where I probably won't have enough points for all seats on all sectors, so I am looking at the points+pay option for at least part of it.

Taking BNE-LHR one way for simplicity, I can see it is either:

51,000 pts + $481.40

1,000 pts + $1,765.40

Meaning an effective cost of $1,284 for 50,000 pts = ~2.5 cents/pt.

I'm interested to know if there is a sweet(er) spot in the points+pay engine that means points get effectively cheaper than that, or if it's just a linear equation. If someone could let me know the pay component for a couple of different spots on the slider, I'd be grateful.

Yes mine posted in about 7 days. I believe this is an amex only promo. last year the Westpac one was definitely run by enrich, so when my bonus points were short 5% I contacted enrich. This year the small print definitely said bonus will be posted by amex. hope this helps

got the reply when enquired. Not feeling confidence. Totally ridiculous asking me for the link. Its not like i am presenting a coupon from a third party.

I was wondering if you happen to have a link or screen shot of something which states that amex will be paying the miles. Because AMEX again clearly denies this and of course is passing on the buck to airline. They had no idea what i was talking about and link me to ausbt, which was the pre- extended deal. They can be pretty incompetent sometimes.

When I questioned the missing points on the westapac promo last year I contacted enrich directly. it took a number of months but they did credit the points.

This time on my enrich account the bonus miles state that they came from AMEX but last year from enrich. make of it what you will

I hope this post is not the bearer of bad news but I had a similar issue last year. I received an email from Enrich with the 15% offer and on the bottom were images of a number of cards that were participating, including AMEX. I transferred my points into the program in order to book a specific flight but the bonus points never arrived. 3-4 months later and at least 20 calls to both Enrich and AMEX (the AMEX ones sounding horribly similar to above - "there is no record of a promotion in my system"), I was informed that the promotion was not valid for Australian AMEX holders, only Malaysian holders. Other cards worked for Aussies and you needed to actually click on the logo of your program to read the T&C's. Long story short, I was not entitled to the bonus and I wasted an inordinate amount of time finding that out. Hopefully, this is not the same situation for you.

No I don't recall seeing anything on the AMEX site about the bonus when I made the redemption (not surprisingly I suppose, since the offer wasn't applicable to my account). I assumed it would happen as my Dad transferred Westpac Altitude points and got the bonus. Did you see a 15% etc promo when you went through? Given that Danger got his bonus points, hopefully you are entitled and will need to harass AMEX until they find the expired promo and can verify.

not sure if this helps but I have retrieved this from my Enrich account


it shows the bonus last year from Westpac where the miles were from Wespac and the bonus moles from Enrich. This years miles from AMEX and the bonus also from AMEX.

I do recall what Ben is talking about. The bonus last year was only on the enrich website relating to a number of banks and cards in different countries. I do recall the AUS ones had to come from Westpac/St George/Bank of Melbourne group, Amex AU were not listed so not surprised he got no bonus.
I would still be pursuing the AMEX angle
