Payall failed last night - they gave me 5k points to say sorry
Payall failed last night - they gave me 5k points to say sorry
All four of my PayAlls were processed this month no problems just as they have been done for last 2 years. On a related topic… with the imminent demise next month of everyone's Plus transaction account sitting alongside the credit card for quick and instantaneous paying the credit card to artifically lift the credit limit, what will be the workaround now when that account disappears? I have contacted NAB and asked whether or not the replacement NAB Classic account will allow true instantaneous transfers to Citibank credit cards as in intrabank transfers from the same platform. The answer was an expected "no". This means there will be no instant way of crediting the card to bolster the available credit before the PayAll is taken out, meaning the only way of doing this going forward is doing it the day before via BPay. It will have to be the day before because BPay payments are not instant either and are only processed once at the end of the day after 4pm, which will be too late and after the PayAll has been processed.
Does anyone know of any clever workaround ways of either pushing BPay to force it to be instant or another way of paying a Citibank credit card that will be almost instant or at least same-day?
I recall you saying you use Easypay. Is it not a good alternative? All four of my PayAlls were processed this month no problems just as they have been done for last 2 years. EasiPay is Citibank's name for auto direct debit to pay the outstanding balance owing on a credit card on the day it is due for payment. It is not something that can be used at will by the card holder as and when they feel inclined to bolster the remaining credit mid-billing period for the purposes of covering a PayAll payment debit so it doesn't default.I recall you saying you use Easypay. Yes I had to call and make a big deal about itDid you have to ask first?
Unfortunately not, this is something that struck me as soon as I read that the Citibank Plus account was being shutdown. I'll need to keep a very close eye on my recurring PayAlls to make sure the BPay payments make it to the credit card in time, taking into account weekends, public holidays, lunar eclipses and the like. Perhaps once our Citi credit card is migrated over to a similar NAB product that automatically carries over our fee-free PayAll recurring payments, it will be easier.Does anyone know of any clever workaround ways of either pushing BPay to force it to be instant or another way of paying a Citibank credit card that will be almost instant or at least same-day?
I think you may have just come up with an inventive new definition for 'wishful thinking'NAB product that automatically carries over our fee-free PayAll recurring payments
how do you get a BSB and account number for AMEX?For the promotion discussed in this thread, it's possible if you have a BSB and bank account number for AMEX.
If you're referring to a similar process of using your AMEX card, say to pay funds into a bank account (you control) and collect MR points, then not possible.
I do recall a poster on AFF who was able to pay a (Bankwest?) visa using another credit card and collect points, though that was long time ago.
Amex has Payids now. Check the methods of paying on your statement.how do you get a BSB and account number for AMEX?
Had a call this week to provide more details about the payall
