Earn points on Bank Transfers

I am curious, if one solely uses the prestige card for payall and not much other transactions, wouldn't Nab close those account quickly? Maybe the card has to be used for everyday spend as well to prevent account closure..

Why? If the payalls are legitimate, ie not payment to self or to accounts linked to the payer, then you are using the account and the payall feature in the manner intended. Lots of people would not be using the card for everyday spend. You're paying a decent annual fee for the Prestige, so I doubt the bank would have an issue if you just didn't use the card enough.

I think a more compelling factor would be to whom the payalls are made. Payalls to self AND when combined with no use for other transactions would seem a more likely scenario for such drastic action from the bank.

Having said that, there'd be lots of people using the card/payall in that manner but account closures don't seem to be common.
 
Citibank are well known to have a lot of completely undocumented… let's call them 'features' about the way they do their business. Citibank operate in the grey as much as they possibly can get away with. It's not all written down in black and white with Citibank. They virtually invented the Dennis Denuto defence - "it's the vibe of it your honour"

Just because you're operating your account in full compliance with the letter of the published and distributed T&C's, does not mean they aren't still looking at you to see if you're the kind of customer they can be bothered keeping - whether or not you're using it with respect to the vibe of their offer.
 
Tried getting the yearly fee reduced through the message function within the app and no dice. I've mentioned the reduced features and all.

Would calling potentially result in a different outcome?
 
Citibank blocked me from creating recurring Payall's since maybe mid 2023. Whenever i choose recurring, the Next button was disabled no matter what I tried- different dates, different phone etc. I could only create single payments.

Asked customer service who said dunno, would have to escalate to the specialist team which i chose not to pursue further, because the answer was completely obvious to me.

Strange. I created one, it would have been Sep or Oct, and it now has a period of 2023/10 to 2025/10. However, the last one was cancelled, so I have to see if the payment for Dec would go thru.

Hmmm... That sounds familiar, I thought the same thing until I realised I had to scroll down the screen on the phone to reveal the next set of options that weren't visible originally. The proceed arrow remains grey until all parameters are completed. After you enter the frequency and when to start (no more than 3 months in advance), scroll down and choose the End on date (up to 2 years). Then scroll down to view the PayAll fee and then the proceed arrow will be enabled.

there is no scrolling down (for me) below the End date.

I recall that back then I thought i was being clever - i cancelled my existing Payalls so i could recreate them, obviously my intention is to maximise the free transfers for as long as possible, as many people would have done. I did successfuy recreate 2, and subsequentially the 'blocking' occurred.

oh well the gravy train ended. no right to complain when the free money stops.
 
My latest Citi Payall failed. It is a recurring payment and for some reason this one failed today. Has anyone had this happen recently?
 
Looks like NAB is cancelling Payall transactions. Had a Payall transaction "declined". There was more than enough credit limit available for the transaction. The email from Citi says:
"Citi PayAll - Your transaction has been declined
Dear Customer,
The following Citi PayAll transaction has been declined. We will credit back the payment along with the PayAll fees to your card in 3 business days. Please ensure that you make alternative payment arrangements."
 
My Payal from two days ago went through fine. It was originally set up a long long time ago.
