Earn points on Bank Transfers

Maybe I am naive, but to me, if there is a significant change in the service, pro rata refund should be easily available, independently off how much the service is being used prior the change. Isn t that the case?

The mistake you're making is a common one, don't feel bad. The error is that you're using common sense, logic and rational argument to make your point. Unfortunately none of these things exist anymore in 2024. They died along with social norms, etiquette and morality. There's expected to be a transitioning period which we're in now, while people get their heads around the fact that the rules now are simply made up on the spot and are simply whatever someone says they are.

T&C's can change on a whim with no notice and are basically meaningless anymore, but confusingly they're still called T&C's and presented in a format that harks back to the days when they could actually be relied on. The banks are basically lawless institutions that can and do whatever they want to their best advantage and no-one has the power to tell them otherwise.

A complaint and AFCA escalation will fix that (assuming you are going to cancel the card).
I’m still tossing up if I will cancel now or in January as I want to use my priority passes over Christmas and still have 20k worth of Qantas points to come
So they are saying that if you have no debt and no transactions after the annual fee date then they will refund it?
That’s how I’ve interpreted it

Has anyone requested a reduced annual fee in regards to the changes? I personally never used PAY ALL (I signed up recently and didn't really benefit my use case). I'm asking more out of curiosity!

The fomo of having to drop my cards due to re-financing has been made easier with the recent announcement. Thanks for the generosity citibank.

My payall went though today.
I guess my last one will be 7th jan 25, and then bye bye😮‍💨
After your last PayAll has been processed, just look in the app and make sure you don't have a free 0% offer for PayLite Instalment Payments there you can use to string out the payback of the last PayAll for an extra 3 months you can use.

It's only 2 months for me now

Called up recently to cancel as the AF was coming up but was willing to keep the card if they somewhat reduced the fee, got told a flat out no plus some spiel on how they've added other benefits to compensate for the ones they removed. I've proceeded with the cancellation.

Haha 'other benefits', yeah right. They've been killing this card off slowly for the past few years

God i hate that "we are doing you a favour" utter cough

Its not even sales talk, its just outright deception.

Years ago i called up a different bank and questioned why the annual fee had gone up, and i got told " we listened to customers feedback and raised the fee"

I requested show me the feedback where a customer has requested an increase in annual fee.

I never received it

After 13 long years with the Prestige - Cancelled today. No mention from CSR as to why I wanted to Cancel - nor did I say anything. Had great value of the card while it lasted all these years.

My Dec payment has gone through, but Jan payment scheduled for 28th. Is there any way to modify the payment date, to move to before Jan 20? Can’t see an option, apart from cancelling current payment and setting up new payment - but then it’s no longer fee free.

I pretty sure that's the only way.

I've got one more payment on January 6th and that's the end of it. The other two were on the 24th and 26th.
