That is correct, though practically speaking I don't think any award flights get booked with a QF number if it's not QF metal, barring the AY wet leases.

any award flight (both Classic and Classic Plus) with a QF flight number, whether it's Qantas metal or not
and even if booked with another user's QF points or via another FFP's miles?
How to spot such unicorns!?Yes, but there are a very limited number of non-Qantas metal QF coded awards out there.
Trial and error at the moment but could be an interesting article for the @AFF Editor to consider exploring? How to spot such unicorns!?

Mentioned upthread and on another recent thread, there apparently are some LA flights that book as QF code.I believe Aircalin between Australia and Noumea, and Air Tahiti Nui on the AKL-PPT & PPT-LAX routes are the only ones.
So SYD-AKL-PPT-LAX for 15+18+22=55SC for a PC Y reward fare?I believe Aircalin between Australia and Noumea, and Air Tahiti Nui on the AKL-PPT & PPT-LAX routes are the only ones.
Works for me on the regular search but yeah, multi-city doesn’t like PPT in some scenarios. So SYD-AKL-PPT-LAX for 15+18+22=55SC for a PC Y reward fare?
Though the few checks on this i just tried wouldn't search rewards PPT-LAX? Looks an interesting DSC adventure to me, especially out of Canberra![]()
