EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

No nothing here, so dont be sad your not on your own. I'm starting to think that these offers aren't as good as some think. Unless you are being offered double points and can really justify going out to spend the minimum required, why not buy from the qantas site. 250 points for 30 dollars as against 1000 points for 40 dollars. 20 shops @$30 for 250pts is $600 for 5000 points. Qantas site is $558.00 for 20000 points.Even the pet insurance is a better deal than some of these offers. Am I missing something here, not trying to be smart, even tho I hardly ever receive offers. Just a thought.:)

On a pure "total" value, the points from WOW also include the goods purchased, the Qantas option is just for points alone which to me is much less value in dollar spend.

The points from WOW should be treated as a "Bonus" only and not a good idea to simply shop for items not needed (Only exception is Macro or Select items which may also drive a tax deduction if the purchase goods are not required and donated to a charity etc)

No offers here (Monday or Wednesday)... No stress, as I don't think I will buy anything this week.

Maybe they are recovering from epic Taco / Cat Food hauls? :p:p

Ok I am with you, sometimes it reads as if people go and shop just for the points, but thats probably just me reading it the wrong way.

This can sometimes be the case if the points or "Bonus Points" is of a value higher than the value of the goods being purchased, this is really common with the "Select" & "Macro" offers of late...

The Macro offer would allow 100 points to be earn't for $1.19 outlay which as per your recent example, have a cost of $238 for 20,000 QFF,
Qantas site is $558.00 for 20000 points
in this case it may be beneficial to buy more "Goods" than one needs purely for the easy points earn, however these are the exception, not the general rule with QFF earn via WOW/EDR

in an inflationary environment, forward purchasing non-perishables is prudent behaviour, stock up on these items when the offer of extra points is at hand. Ironically this very behaviour could be considered inflationary

I wonder if we all had a week of black-banning WOW if the reward offers may come thick and fast next week ;)

No offers Monday or Wednesday this week, or so I thought. Just checked my Woolworths app, and there's a tiered Deli promo sitting there ending Wednesday 18th July.

Checked my emails again. Definately nothing received.

Is this a sneaky by WOW to see who's using the app?

Thanks for the tip robd. I've just checked the app and found a 100 points for $5 spend in the bakery. Same thing - no email sent!

Yep, +1 for me, $5 in bakery in the app, sitting next to last weeks Wednesday $10 seafood offer. No offers by email on any of the 5 cards in our extended family. Must ask Mr Sunburnt to check his app.

Hmm, a few have popped up in the app for me:

200 points spending $10 or more at Big W on kids footwear (multiple use)
100 points for$5 at bakery (suspect thats everyone given its the focus of this week fresh campaign)
