EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I think the name of the new loyalty manager must be BOZO because it sure looks like it is being run by clowns to my way of thinking.
I might also suggest thay are actively discriminating against people who can support their stores but cannot geographically utilise their fuel vouchers.
Must be a "brace" of BOZOS

JohnK have you considered buying some barrels to store the extra fuel... Ok I am kidding, but I did think about.
Interesting suggestion. ;) But I am just not that interested in points for points sake.

Would love a proper bonus offer though but I somehow sense that is not going to happen for a while....

Two offers for me this week, nothing for the other family members.

Spend over $50 at WW for an 8 cent fuel voucher.
Spend $30 at WW and $30 at Big W for a 10 cent fuel voucher.

Luckily these actually fit in with my spending pattern this week.

I spent just over $50 at WW today. That gets me offer 1 and part of offer 2. In some ways you could say I qualified for 3 fuel vouchers in one shopping trip, the usual 4 cent one (which won't get used), the 8 cent one and the 10 cent one. I will be going to Big W on Sunday to spend just over $30.

Looks like the WOW is working

EDR before the "enhancement" - 1 spend for "bonus" QFF points

After "enhancement" - 2 or 3 spend for QFF (i.e spend at Woolworths $30 + Big W $30 + Fuel to use the bonus)

I think WOW know exactly what they are doing, effectively increasing the cost per point, and locking you into three of their brands...! very clever when you think about it....

But what about the vast number of people who live in the Country who don't have the other 2 brands to access nor the fuel stations ??

My parents live in the country. I alwaysed live in the country but live in Sydney now. They might be lucky but everywhere they have lived near to - usually they live an hour away from a place to buy milk - if there is a woolworths there is also a woolwoorth petrol station.. this biggest problem is where they need to live now. No coles, no woolworths, just a larger corner store. No discount promotions, no links with any other business.I have to say though, for their circumstances the cost of living versus the wage they make, they really don't need to chase bonus points they have such a better margin of spending money than me its annoying!! For everyone else though, well maybe the EDR for them is tailored based on postcode therefore not requiring something that cant be achieved?

To be clear, my opinion is that while this rubbish continues, WOW will lose my loyalty, since now they require more loyalty for less compensation. I will be happy to drive past the local Woolworths store / fuel outlet, if I can do my shopping in comfort, reasonable prices and acceptable quality. If the store be Coles, Foodland, IGA or other, so be it

Vote with your feet folks... viva la revolution...!

I kind of see where you're coming from. I would love the bonus point offers to return. From my family perspective we always shopped at Woolies anyway, never owned a Fly-Buys card in my life so I guess I 'll just keep taking the 2.5 FF points per dollar ( EDR + Amex) and hope for a return to the good times :)

We all have to complain about the lack of bonus point offers whether it is via the feedback form, Facebook, Twitter or "shock horror" taking all our business elsewhere!

Have gone a month without any EDR Offers & about to do my first major shop at Coles in nearly 4 years, Triple points is better than nothing & then a fill up at Coles Express. Snap Woolies !

Back to Bi-Lo...$32 shop today for a 8c/Lt docket

Did some shopping at Coles before, first time in a few weeks if not months. Given that Coles is much closer to me, no bonus points = no woolworths.

I did that and got no offers this week. Might be a coincidence, might not be. But I always shop at Woolies anyway...

I was thinking of doing the same but I have a double points at WW offer on the EDR MasterCard, and QFF points are more important to me than Flybuys, so I'll stick to WW this weekend.

I've been thinking that I might make the swap to Coles too given the lack of offers to keep me loyal; my shopping transactions are pretty small (but frequent) so the number of $ above $30 is usually not more than 30 or 40 per shop. I can use my 1.5x Amex at Coles for the whole shop and the Coles near where I live is much more pleasant than the skan_y hole that the alternative Woolies nearby is. 30 points is simply not enough to keep me at Woolies when the Coles is that much more pleasant.

Plus the fact, I won't be subjected to that annoying, glib, fake folksy 'Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday' jingle!

As long as you don't mind the Status Quo rehash!

Why, because iCan.

I've been to WW once in the last 3 weeks. Fuel offers don't interest me at all. I have been to Coles though in this time and picked up a few bonus FlyBuys.

The nearest WW is about 3.7km from me (that's what it says after I reset my tank) and Coles is probably slightly closer. The Coles is smaller and doesn't always have what I want, but I always get an parking spot near the door whatever time of the day and the checkout queues are short. Until bonus points return, I know where I'll be going. Will probably make 1 token trip to WW per month for the bonus fuel offer for when I fill the tank that month.

Old men making a fool of themselves in somewhat more authentic than a goth girl singing in a Shirley Temple falsetto!

Oddly WOW have stopped their decent bonus offers just as FlyBuys has gained some traction.

Saw a movie..and shopped at Coles as it was convenient. No reason to favour WOW at present.
