EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

With fuel I still go to Woolworths to get the 5% off using a gift card then get the GST back on 21st of the following month and if there is a discount I will take that. Naturally I am tormented on which credit card to use to buy the $2,000 of gift cards for $1902 each time......actually I am not really tormented as it becomes hello business class or better.

Shortly we do the 20 hours of business class to Perth out of LAX using SQ so the points from buying gift cards for Woolies are doing just fine. With EDR points being stalled at the moment I hope you are running Woolies gift cards to the max at their fuel stations.

Yes the bonus points drought remains.

Unfortunately it looks like the masses must be more motivated to change their buying behaviour by the current range of promos, rather than the points bonuses.

So this may be permanent.

I am hoping that 4 of my cards which are seeing no action will see some welcome back offers, but I am not feeling that hopeful as the one-million non-points savvy masses are probably out-voting me with the Everyday marketing team.

So it may well be that the gravy train is over. ie I was averaging over points per 4 spend, which is a lot more than I was expecting when this program was first kicked off.

I received 6c/L off petrol with a $15+ fruit and veg spend..my mum also got a fuel offer, a tiered one for purchase of Woolworths Gold products.

I sent feedback saying my previous feedback was I wanted bonus points, and yet they don't "select" me for the 250 point BWS offer last week (despite buying alcohol only the week before, so targeting me would have been wise) (or provide any other offer last week) and now I receive more fuel offers... I pointed out this has significantly impacted my WW spend and will continue to do so until such time as I receive more bonus points offers

I got a bizarre offer of 20% off UK foods. It seems quite random as I can't recall ever buying anything from this section...well, I have bought digestives but they are just in the normal biscuit aisle these days.

One shopper here has a tiered fuel discount on the Christmas stuff.

Will not even bother to activate.

Again the Coles system offers more

Today I DID do the last of the WW shops for the $20 voucher. Used a discount wishcard :)

WW will need to come up with something more interesting soon or Coles/Flybuys will be taking an ever increasing share of the family spend

Another one to ignore.

Hope you still enjoying J cove, after all that flying in J or F all the time puts you into a different reality than the majority of pax... God forbid if you have to slum it in whY again...

We are using the Wi$h cards for fuel (buy at bottom of cycle, collect multiple QFF per litre, claim back GST) and Dan Murphy spend only these days due to the EDR drought, all other spend on Mrs Shintaro's staff discount card and QEDRCC at Coles & Kmart..

By the way cove, $2k in wi$h cards here a flat $1.9k here :lol:

Near where I live, there are two Coles Express on opposite sides of the road. They don't always go up (or down) at the same time!

Oh... so it's not like WA then where it's fixed prices all day and known by 4pm the previous!

Got another 3 "we miss you offers"! Seriously if they really miss me, they should offer me bonus points for a low spend not a coughpy spend 50 bucks to a 10c off petrol offer! Also one account got a $5 off $50 spend.

Nothing here so far...starting to feel unloved! Haven't had a bonus point offer since the end of August/start of September...

Shintaro10x I did 4 flights in America last 2 weeks in coach as the price for 13 hours flying was about $400 which I considered too dirt cheap to pass on by using the Australian Expedia site and my Australian Amex card. As expected the flights were as basic as the ticket prices. Now back in Australia I would not do that as business class flight redemptions are pretty much always available. I do hope the points circus at Woolies re-starts everyone's points chasing as there was the thrill of the chase.
I think Woolies cost per point may be in the vicinity of 1.1 cents plus GST so that would have been pretty costly to try buying sales from our forum members.

No offers again for the past 2 weeks.

Not to worry though. There are 2 accounts active for the $20 Gift card.
I should have mentioned there was 1 offer received late

Me - 6c fuel discount for $10 spend in deli

I got a bizarre offer of 20% off UK foods.
I got the same offer, not very descriptive as what you can buy to get the 20% off, so I gave feedback, as I am now doing for all offers that don't have QFF points, that it doesn't interest me and my satisfaction with the program is dropping.

Also got the 20% off UK foods offer, and then couldn't find anything I wanted in that aisle. Annoying that it's only for things from that particular section, and not other products that are labelled as made in the UK. Completely useless, and a bit misleading perhaps.

i got a 10% offer for $50 + spend. Third time I've got one of these, I quite like them
