0 from 4 today, didn't end up going for the double points this weekend.

Still no points from the meat promo. Time to phone, email and harass

You are not alone there.

You should both be calling tomorrow I think, as mine posted many days ago now...

Zilch here, but shopped for double points yesterday so I can't complain.

I used to love Woollies meat but my store has gone downhill lately. Their T-bones used to be excellent. I guess that's why I didn't get the meat offer. :)

Previously I'd never buy meat from Coles as it was just not good but a few cuts have improved. I don't buy their mince and their non organic chicken is tough, even the tenders.

Just check to make sure it's beef, not horse! ;)

I know, horse meat. Funny how people eat skippys but draw the line at horses.

Well, make a horse pie.

If you sell a beef pie, or whatever it was called, and the rules are that it contain beef, then it should be containing beef. It shouldn't be containing horse!

After spending well for the double points, my next offer was for a fuel voucher with a high buy-in, no doubt from spending big to take advantage of double points... How useful.

No weekly offers for any of our accounts.

I'm not sure whether to be happy or disappointed with my EDR statement at the moment.

My double points from Saturdays big shop at WW have posted in my account in the same transaction as the base points.

My triple points, from a previous targeted offer due to post in my account by yesterday, haven't been posted.

Both targeted emails had the usual small print about the points posting 7 days after the end of the promotion date.

Has anyone had a similar pattern in their accounts?

I used my double points last night buying my veggies and a few items of non perishables. 36 extra points. Big woop.

The annoying this is where I am, the two closest stores (Balaclava & Prahran) appear to be ex-Franklins (small, pokey, frustrating layout with only small fresh produce area and no modern enhancements like self check out), thus I go to the far superior Malvern store these days by default.

at least Malvern's
cheese selection is awesome :-D

Whoops, my previous comment was a furphy. My bonus points posted at the same time, I just didn't notice when I logged in earlier.

In Tasmania Coles sells wallaby mince and it is excellent. No fat at all and tastes great. Also half the price of the cheapest beef mince. If I say so myself I make quite a nice spicy wallaby bolognese sauce for my pasta.

All comes down to what the law states. That's why NZ meat pies are better than Australian pies, they have to contain more meat by law.

I would try a horse pie (just for the sake of it). During WWI and WWII, people were eating cardboard - oh, and horse.

When I was a kid, there was a urban legend going around that Four and Twenty pies used horse meat in their pies. I guess with what is happening in Europe it might be a possibility.

Well, Brumbys I think it was, used chicken feathers to make their white bread fluffy.
