EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I remember now that last week the offers came out first thing on a Wednesday morning, which is annoying when you do the shopping first thing on a Wednesday morning, but don't have room in the morning routine to check email and activate offers and carefully plan every detail of the shopping trip.

Me - 300 bonus points for $60 spend on household cleaning products

Tell 'em they're dreaming....

Mrs - $15 spend on dog food for 150 (great, our favourite dog food is on special - done!)
Me - $25 spend on vitamins for 200 pts... a fortnight after we bought up on vitamins as we were both sick...

I noticed at the top of one of my offer/s there is a "Rate this Offer" link. It was a short survey, how interested are you, why didn't it interest you etc.

It was a very ordinary "Join the Baby Club and get an exclusive Blackmores Offer"..."Buy a selected jar of vitamins and get a small 'on-the-go' blister pack".

No such survey link on my offer from BWS...$30/250pts or $50/500pts

Two offers:

150 pts for $25 deli spend - won't be activated, as I never buy anything from the deli

350 pts for $70 BWS spend or 500 pts for $100 spend - may be activated, but will depend on their specials!

Me - 300 bonus points for $60 spend on household cleaning products

Tell 'em they're dreaming....

Sister got 100 bonus points for $10 spend on household cleaning products
Other Sister 350 pts for $70 BWS spend or 500 pts for $100 spend

Another offer from BWS. They appear to have my number

Had the same last week Major.. Easy points. Daughter has a spend $10 on cleaning products at woolies ,get 150 bonus points..easy points too

300 for $30 worth of spirits ~ Accepted

A BigW pet product offer, which I declined and deleted so quickly, I didn't check the points or spend...

We got two offers overnight, both for Deli spends.

My partner got one for 250 bonus points for a $45 spend. As I predicted a few weeks ago, this was triggered by our big spend on chickens and salad before a party. We won't be taking this one up.

Another family member got one for 100 bonus points for a $20 spend. We sometimes take up these offers but there aren't enough Deli goods on special this week to make this one worthwhile. My deli spending today was to make up the last purchase for another Deli offer (which was a 150 points for only $10 spend offer).

500 points / $125 at BWS (wow, they are raising the odds here!)
200 points / $20 and 400 points / $35 Cosmetics at Woolworths.

2 offers:

500 points / $125 at BWS - They clearly have me pegged.

and

Spend $120 get either 20cpl or 500 QFF points

Spend $160 get either 25cpl or 750 QFF points

I'm just wondering if I select the fuel offer whether it forces me to take the fuel discount at the pump or whether it converts to my selected QFF points as normal. If it converts to QFF points at the pump, I'd be better off taking the voucher

e.g. 25cpl = 17.5 QFF points per litre x 93lt tank = 1627 points vs 750 QFF points if I select that option.

Check the fine print of the email. These offers used to say something like "you're voucher will be used according to the preference at the time of the petrol purchase". If you currently use vouchers for points your 25 cent voucher will be converted to points as per your example above.

A 25 cent voucher by my calculations is 12.5 points per litre not 17.5 as per your figures above. Based on your anticipated 93litre purchase, I make that 1162.5 points(or possibly rounded to another figure), which is still higher than the 750 points offered as the other reward.

By my calculations, you have to purchase more than 60 litres to make the voucher over the 750 points worthwhile. Please feel free to check my calculations, as I usually take discount instead of points as it is better for my personal circumstances. I hope this advice helps.

No fine print on this one and I have convert to points selected as my preference.

My bad, late in the afternoon, need coffee. You're quite right with your calculations. I have a 93 litre tank and can generally get quite close to empty when filling up, maybe 90lt might be a better guess. I am the opposite - I take the points rather than the discount and pay with My DJ Amex Platinum, which gives me 2.25QFF points per $ so my total points haul when I combine that looks like this:

Spend $160 = 130QFF points (EDR) plus 360 QFF points (DJ Amex) = 490 QFF points

90lt of vortex diesel @ $1.589 cpl = 1125 QFF points (12.5 points per litre) plus 322 QFF points ($143.01 paid on DJ Amex) = 1447 QFF points

Total points = 1937 QFF points.
