Across all family's accounts got spend $100 a week for 3 weeks and get $30 reward.

Won't activate. Too large a figure, will wait for discounting...

...apart from people who have only got EDR accounts

I was like that for a number of years, my spending habits were 95% woolies, 5% coles, simply because I couldn't use coles fuel discount vouchers with my motorpass card, but could with woolies vouchers.

One day I decided to grab the flyer whilst was in store thinking that it couldn't hurt.

In recent months, i'd say my spending habits have been about 80% coles, 20% woolworths. Simply because my coles offers consistently outclassed any of the offers I got from woolies.

I had a FlyBuys card but cancelled it years ago, as I was getting nowhere (1,700 points IIRC)...plus I collect points not $2 off a fill (even if it's tax deductible). My closest Coles in a very old one - meanwhile I have 2 closer Woolworths, one of which (the closest) is 1 year old. Plus I have found the occasional time I've had to shop at Coles, the F&V (of which we buy a lot having 2 young kids) is not as good quality. YMMV....

...apart from people who have only got EDR accounts  (slinks away quietly to the corner, hoping nobody notices):oops:

Hmm, maybe I should sign up for a Flybuys account

I also got the spend $100 for 3 weeks offer. No way that's happening.

I will if you do :D - damn, that will only complicate things (more emails, more research and me doing more shopping)...the only positive about Coles is that I don't need to buy any bakery items (as the Brumbies in the same shopping centre is owned by friends who never make me pay anywhere near full price ;) )

They've obviously noticed that coles have won a lot of customers in their last promotion, and are looking to win them back with their own spin on the offer.
Unfortunately for them, their offer sucks.

Coles did a much better job on the spend/reward than EDR did (at least for me and a few others).

Hmm, maybe I should sign up for a Flybuys account

Then we'd really struggle to meet the offers!

Or the offers get better because they have a harder time tracking our spend?

Not using the EDR cards for a for weeks can be beneficial. Collect the paper petrol vouchers by all means but then do not forget NOT to swipe the EDR card at the petrol station - otherwise you've given the game away.

The paper voucher is linked to the spend even though you previously did not EDR it. By EDRing the petrol spend you create the link and your account gets flagged.

Similarly if you use a Myer One with the petrol, as the Myer One has previously been linked to your EDR then you get flagged again.

The war goes on....

I am fortunate to be able to swipe both my EDR and Myer One cards (for the piggybacked points) at my usual Caltex. RAM, surely you realise how hard it is not to swipe cards for some of us

Out of 4 cards, have received one offer of spend $100 for 3 weeks to get a $30 gift card. Hardly compares with the just completed Coles offer of spend $60 for 4 weeks for a $50 voucher. Won't be bothering to hit the activate button!

Can't believe they sent another offer, still on the second registered card. Same offer for us Spend $100 a week for 3 weeks receive a $30 gift card. Pretty good offer for us, as we are a family of four.

The family accounts which didn't get the 4 week targeted offer yesterday got the 3 week offer today for $100 spend each week for a $30 discount.

I'm guessing these 3 week offers went to everyone who didn't get a targeted offer yesterday. They don't appear to be targeted in my opinion. Some of the accounts which received the offer have never spent $100 in a transaction at all.

Welcome to the discounted Wish card club. I wonder whether RACV will run a similar promotion.

Some of the spend offers posted up thread are not to be sneezed at.

One example was $100 gift card for $360 spend. That's a very good return.
