EK 380 Onboard Bar

I recently booked HKG-BKK o/w in F for 36,000pts and about $50.
J was available too at 24K.

I was annoyed when I took an EK F trip (points!) that I didn't visit the J bar. The F 'bar' is just a little shelf area with snacks and diy drinks that gets cleared away towards the end when the showers get used.

I thought 'well, the J bar won't be any better than the F bar, so I won't go exploring'.

Bad decision, obviously.

If flying F, completely forget any sort of F bar, it doesn't really exist. Walk to the back and use the J bar

I think we need an AFF thread that is a gallery of all the members enjoying the bar.

Ah, yes. That's what I said?

Perhaps an extension of this...an inflight pub crawl, from one bar to another. What could possibly go wrong? :)

I recall that on the inaugural QF A380 trip to Dubai, certain AFF members (what happened to Boss Reggie?) did prop up the bar, and again, IIRC they cleaned out the Jonnie Walker blue? I'm sure some-one will clarify (Its posted somewhere ...)

A few of us will be returning EK380 F/J following the AKL dinner in March. I think we will have an AFF do at the J bar during the flight.

Looks lovely, but how close are the seats?
I would hate to be sitting close to the bar and kept awake by half drunk people talking loudly. I've heard that this can be a problem

In my last flight, I was on the very last row just ahead of the bar. I usually sleep very well when traveling, but even wearing ear plugs I barely had any sleep on that particular flight; in the hindsight I would have preferred economy, seriously!

Probably best to be in the front J cabin, the J seats near the bar could be noisy. Our flights in J were half full so plenty to choose from.

............you could have taken solace by having a couple of shots of tequila whilst in the F shower.

Was MOET at Bar ran out of Blue JW only had black, this was a real tasty spiced prawn dish they served up in J.
