Yes please don't remind me - no I was kinda getting at seats / meals etc. What champers served EK F and J?

EK F serves Dom Perignon, and yes they will ensure Dom is at the J bar if you head up there. In fact the F crew really wanted us to go and take a look as this was our first time with a Emirates. They even took a Polaroid of us behind the J bar and put it in a folder. This was by far the best flight I have had on any airline.

There was Veuve Cliquot available at the J bar as well

Even though the F bar is small, there is some more exclusive whiskey there. Some single malt, but cannot recall which ones. The good news is that there was no problem taking the whole bottle down to the J bar

OK am convinced I gotta get 2 x ow to or fro Europe mid 2014. Using QF pts is it possible to get an overnight in DXB to exp Burj. FWIW ow 1 pax with QF pts 192K pts right? Ow 1 pax using SQ F 113K pts - go figure!

I'm a big fan of the J bar on an evening flight. It's usually VERY sociable, but if you want to get some sleep, try and get a seat no further back than the bulkhead at about row 22, as the noise from the bar is very noticeable in the area.

What's the go dress standard wise if you've changed into your F PJ's? Do you get changed back into your clothes before you wonder down to the J bar from F? First thing I normally do is PJ up.

It's up to you and what you are comfortable with. If you are up for it, you could always go down in your bath robe after the shower

Unlike other airlines... Dress standard is whatever the heck you want. Thongs and slippers accepted.

I always wear a bow tie with my F jarmies when I visit the J Bar.

My feelings of excitement at the bar took somewhat of a dive when a couple from F were accompanied with a.bottle Of Dom and didn't offer to share...they didn't even get close to.finishing it.themselves. I found the bar.on virgin Atlantic far more sociable - everyone is created equal.

Not when it comes to flying.

Another example is priority bording where you have status pax in Y and non status pax in Y.

Yeah I meant at the virgin Atlantic bar it's just for upper class passengers (and tech crew on breaks as I found out). Maybe it's the British crew serving who help to relax things vs the emirates bar.

Bit of a meaningless comparison since VS don't have separate J/F classes like EK does. If you want the F trappings, fly F - otherwise be happy with your lot, and take a peek into the economy section if you ever start to feel jealous of your more fortunate fellow passengers
