Still doesn’t have the shower..... I am a fan of the 777 in First, but if you wanted the full shower experience then it’s the 380....

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately it's too late to find a replacement rewards flight as we leave in 2 weeks (booked way back in January) and it's the older version on both 777's. I just wish we had been notified but it's a lesson learnt that even on a honeymoon the plane Gods won't always be in your favour. Have signed up to Expert Flyer to alleviate future issues.

I suppose I can slum it in first with no shower but the swap to 2-3-2 business class wasn't exactly ideal! First World problems and all....

Have contacted Qantas customer support to see if there is anyway to change to the later flights on the day (which are now annoyingly both a380's!) but won't be holding my breath. The final hope is just asking Emirates staff on the day of departure maybe?

IMO the pair of seats on the side of the 777 J from Dubai to Rome will be better for a couple the A 380 anyway.

The shower is a shame if you haven’t done it, but apart from that the 777 in F is really nice. Much smaller cabin, so the service has been terrific when I have been on it. Hope you have a lovely honeymoon and enjoy the flights

12 months too late for us but the EK 777 J seat was so much better than the BA 777 we had the previous leg.
