Definitely was allowed to check in with the EK435 crowd, long wait in a lounge by anyone's standards but meal , shower , champers and a little snooze. Have been the only person in the lounge for the past 2 hours and don't expect to see anyone until close till midnight. So very peaceful.

Do EK close the lounge after 435 has left and then re-open for the later flight ?

Still allowed in the lounge but food was taken away after EK435 boarded. The manager delivered a meal to my seat and I was the only one in there for 3 hours. He also offered to dim the lights and bring me a blanket so I could have a nap. Couldn't fault the service.

Personally if you are flying to BNE to get EK433 - not sure why you just wouldn't aim to fly to MEL and get EK405 - fly on the A380 instead of B777 - and have better flight times as well.

Thanks to your suggestion I have booked my next trip (Wife's 50th April) to SIN via MEL on EK405 in F to make the most of the experience on the A380 at a decent hour. Returning home on EK432 to BNE on 777W in F also. EK lounge in SIN may in fact be closed for renovations at this time but plenty of time on the flight home to have a quiet DP2006 or three. Thanks again for your helpful suggestion.
