No it isn’tIf booking through Qantas, is it possible to points upgrade to business on Emirates?
Hmmm.horrible news
Does anyone know when these will start or can I book one now to avoid these costs
Simple answer don't fly Emirates..Emirates has jacked up its already-high carrier charges (including via QFF) according to Point Hacks, eg Perth-Vienna in J or F has gone from $452 to $974 one way. Crikey!
Emirates increases carrier charges again - Point Hacks
You'll need to pay a lot more money to fly Emirates Business or First with Qantas Points.www.pointhacks.com.au
Not actually that simple.Simple answer don't fly Emirates..
The key is to get to Asia and from there the options for QFF points are much better. QR award availability is pretty darn good ex Asia for instanceNot actually that simple.
QF award availability is close to non-existent at the moment. CX is precarious. JL is not possible unless same airport. AY has ceased most flying to Asia. QR doesn't release more than one seat. BA fuel fines are similarly outrageous. Options are few and far between for QFF points holders.

Have you asked the Sheikh what he thinks of QFF freeloaders? I assume you have his direct number?those of us who really contribute to EK's bottom line.
Ooooh, controversial! To be honest, as an exclusively EK traveller, it has always annoyed me to see QF loyalists scrambling for an infinitely better F experience with EK. I pay for my EK F seats, and it's always annoying that until recently it has been too easy for QF apologists to escape the paltry Qantas offering for the quality EK offering by collecting their QFF points and crowding out those of us who really contribute to EK's bottom line. So I say bring it on, make it much harder and make them pay even more!
I'm expecting a robust reaction to this no doubt unpopular view!
Where’s Kevin from double bay?It doesn't matter to me what HRH thinks, I'm just voicing my own opinion. But to satisfy your need to know, I will ask him next time we chat!

How dare you say such things on AustralianFF when it suited Emperor Joyce he jumped into bed with Sir Tim and Sheikh Mohamed, not literary, at once or together and things were good for a while. Then QF went back to the old ways and the shouts of 'hoorah' QF is going back through SIN echoed through the masses So now 12-14 QF aircraft with limited F or J award availability for P1s WPs vrs 100+ EK aircraft with availability to most almost any location but costs more. Who do we think we are kidding. To be honest, as an exclusively EK traveller, it has always annoyed me to see QF loyalists scrambling for an infinitely better F experience with EK.
