Entertainment Book to give VA voucher discounts and no CC fee

Maybe I should get some VA vouchers via Entertainment Book each year to match my QF Xmas vouchers. Just budgeted for $7,500 travel in next 12 months, so some savings would be nice...

Maybe SIN is classified as medium haul not long haul and therefore eligible for online gift card bookings? Anyway, I have my e ticket and I saved 5% and the cc fee so I'm happy.

a tricky question, just wondering when you buy the voucher via the entertainment card, is it classified as a plane ticket purchase? because when you buy say a woolies voucher via the entertainment card, it is classified as supermarket transaction getting points per dollar on the plat edge.

I don't think so. I think they are issued by a third party.

You are probably right, but I wonder why woolies vouchers pay 3 point

I'm fairly sure Entertainment book sends you to one of the Woolworths webSites which WW then processes the payment.

As for when buying the 5% off VA Gift Vouchers, it's entertain book that processes the payment themselves

I believe this is correct

Great point, you are absolutely right.

Can you stack the 5% voucher and then use the 10% code going around for flights?
So using the voucher saves cc fee but you still can't get insurance on booking site with voucher right?

Yes you can stack the code by paying with a voucher.

I thought travel insurance was offered before payment. So you can opt in for travel insurance and then pay with whatever payment option you desire.

You might not be covered by credit card travel insurance policy though if you were relying on that for the trip

I hope Entertainment book extends this offer for another year.

June 1st is the last day to buy these 5% off vouchers :(

Hopeful that they will as VA mentioned as a contributor when I was asked for early renewal a couple of months ago

I have the 2015/2016 version, it's there in the app (though strangely moved from Travel to Shopping). So all good for the coming year.

Is the $50 bonus for linking gold card to velocity still active?

They recently extended the validity of that voucher until end September?

Unfortunately Virgin Holidays doesn't sound too crash hot to me especially when a lot of their prices are twin share which are useless to someone travelling alone.
