after you buy the vouchers how long does it generally take to get them?
Are the vouchers purchased through the Virgin Australia Voucher site (which never seems to work for me) or through Entertainment Book?
Cheers
I have 2-3 of these going at once. I managed to run the last one down to $0.79 so out of the goodness of my heart I am donating them that money.A word of warning for anyone who like me is used to Qantas vouchers to avoid CC fees, go read the early parts of the thread. I only read the 2015 parts and didn't realize they change you the $7.70 fee for the $10 or so my flights cost over the voucher amount. Doh! Still save me $35 though
Hi All
Looks like there have been changes to the rules - now there's only 1 per book!

Anyone managed to purchase multiple vouchers with a 2015 - 2016 membership?
Thanks!

Sorry if this has been asked before but if you have an AMEX Velocity Platinum is the 5% saving on buying the vouchers worth the loss of the extra points (as in only accrue 1 per point $ as opposed to 3 points per $) ?
voucher is the only alternative form of payment.
Good point (pardon the pun)!
I guess it would depend on the value you put on points. A $1000 voucher would lose you 2000 points if you can use AMEX or Paypal to purchase, but I'm thinking someone has said you cannot use AMEX so effective you'd lose 3000 points. The fifty dollar saving would represent 2.5c per per point for a loss of 2000 or 1.6c per point for a loss of 3000. Seems to me to be getting close to the "why bother" basket (the same basket I place rebate schemes).
It certainly is a bit of a run around.
The reason I personally want to buy these (in addition to the 5% saving) is to avoid the $7.70 cc fee on specific transactions. For example, I will be using my voucher to pay for flights using the 2 for 1 deal on my credit card, and voucher is the only alternative form of payment. I don't get a bonus for booking with VA on my card anyway so the loss of the bonus is not a problem. So I get the same points as I would if I booked with my card, but I save at least 5% + 7.70 x 2.
Also the good news is that I ordered my voucher before 9am Sydney time this morning and received it before COB today
