Penfolds day at epiQure today .. snapped up the 2008 Bin 28 for the same price as the 2009 at Dan Murphy's, plus free delivery and triple points :)

Thanks for the tip off!

Triple points plus 1.5 x points for using my linked Amex

Hmmm, my first disappointing result with epiQure. Received my order today, except it is the cheaper 2009, not the 2008 as ordered. On hold now to see what they are going to do about it.

Haven't opened my case yet !
Will check when I get home
I'll be interested to find out

Edit: Just checked email order and it definitely states 2008

Yep, so did mine, but it was definitely a case of 2009 that was delivered.

So final result is that now I have to lug the wine into work so they can organise to come and pick it up and deliver a proper case of the 2008. What a pain.

Same for me :( 2009 in box. Noted that box has no vintage labelled anywhere on outside.
Will be calling tomorrow

Lucky. I almost went for this offer. Hopefully better luck with the Coldstream Hills I just bought. Loving the Knappstein too

After doing a dummy spit x2 with the EpiQure telephone team, they are now collecting my 2009 Penfolds and delivering a 2008.
First phone call was advised email would be sent to Management etc for actioning.
Second phone call advised response time of 2 working days for email to be answered by Management
Stated I wasn't happy with that and asked please explain.
They called me back soon after with a more reasonable answer.

just a heads up folks... the 2009 is regarded a better vintage for Barossa shiraz then 2008.. and if you want to buy some Bin 28 to cellar?? my tip would be to buy plenty of the 2010 stuff.. imho

Today's offer of 2010 St Hallett Obst Single Vineyard Shiraz looks good if you buy the two 6 pack cases and get 1500 bonus points... But I bought 18 bottles yesterday from Cellarmasters so better stop for a while!

I think a normal price for this one is around $25.

i picked up the 2006 Mt Langi - $23? very good value, i was surprised. bonus points n all!!!

Just following up from my earlier post regarding the incorrect order I received.
The customer service continues to be very ordinary at best.
The incorrect case was collected by Australia Post one week ago and as of today I have had no correspondence either email or telephone from epiQure.
Also no delivery received of the correct wine of course :(
I called today to enquire and after being placed on hold was advised that the agent has now requested delivery of the correct wine with anticipated delivery within 14 days.
Wonder what would have happened if I hadn't called?
It seems a pretty poor attempt at customer service if the customer has to do all the follow-up themselves.
epiQure need to do better than this for their target market

Understatement and a half there PF.

I'm overseas this week, and received a call from a courier on Tuesday morning saying he was coming to collect my incorrect case of wine. I had left the wine at work with a colleague.

Anyway, it appears he picked the wine up on Tuesday, but did not deliver the replacement case.

So I rang the Epiqure "customer service" line this morning and wasted about 10 minutes having to repeat the entire story again, and was promised a call back to let me know what was going on.

The return call informed me that "a list of the customers affected by the incorrect wine has been forwarded to the warehouse, and replacement cases will be delivered in due course". I asked when I would be getting my wine and was told that there was no way of knowing.

Absolutely ridiculous. I was promised when I initially rang to notify them of the mixup that they would drop off the correct case at the same time that they collected the incorrect order. It has now been 3 weeks to the day since the original delivery was made, and there is no sign of my correct order.

Very ordinary service indeed, and they expect people to pay $99 a year for this level of service?

Did you end up buying this? Just wondering how good the stuff is, as I can't find any mention of it anywhere on the interwebs ...
