Flight Report, SQ231 SIN - SYD
Wednesday 26 February

Sleep: I sat in 72F instead of allocated 73F. 72DEFG vacant. .

So how does one get to Y on upper deck - I'm assuming that you have to walk the whole plane and up the rear stairs, rather than disturb the souls in F?

At SIN at least, I walked past the entries to the suites & the main deck to another entrance. A short walk through J & then I was at the little Y section.

I took a bulkhead seat in row 72. I thought I had a toilet on the other side of the bulkhead but it was J's toilet.

On SQ F is on the lower deck

Exactly, so that is why I assume they wouldn't send Y up the front stairs.

However I've just remembered that on an EK 380 DXB-BKK (where we were on the lower deck in Y), there was a bridge to the upper deck.

Thanks to everyone for reading - too many people to thank for reading, liking, asking questions & giving me suggestions. This to me was a benefit of a near real time TR.

My next trip will get me over the line to WP - I'm going to Perth for a week in a couple of weeks. This trip that I've just done was booked before the VFF DSC offer so I miss out there.

My next trip to Perth (from 18/3) will take advantage of the DSC. I'm going SYD - OOL - MEL - PER & vice versa. I've upgraded with points to J for the transcon bits.

Then in June I'm again taking advantage of the DSC SYD - AUH - SYD with onward (yet to be planned) bits to Europe & the UK.

Sounds like via J, boarding directly to the upper deck

Thanks for the TR Erk ... and welcome home.

Going by the more recent selfies it looks like time for a [red]beard trim ... :p

Thanks to my fire service training, I knew this guy wasn't dancing for me in the SIN SQ Gold lounge but he was getting the temperature & probably the humidity in the lounge. I'd made the comment earlier that the air conditioners were painted on.

Going via J while boarding (above) & deplaning (below) was a tease.

Be sure to read the safety card before landing...

Row 80 on an A380 is one I've heard about. Note vacant seats.

The displays for the immigration queues have changed since my last visit to SYD T1. I noted that UK, US & Singaporean passport holders can use the Smartcard lanes just like Kiwis & Aussies.

Have I landed in China by mistake? Who cares about Chinese New Year 2+ weeks after the event. Welcome me home, Sydney Airport!

That's better....
