I thought the bus I was on would have went over Tower or London bridges. In the end, we did neither.

I can see Tower Bridge from here. Then we turned right.

Another ambulance - this one not under lights & sirens.

My money's on the guy on the right.

The bus stopped at Canadia Water & I had to get off. I planned to get an Overground train.

I saw that I could get off at Shagwell oops Shadwell for the DLR. So I did.

I headed down to Woolwich coughnal via London City Airport.

On the way back to Bank, I sat where the driver would normally sit if the train wasn't operating automatically.

My best long distance train shot so far.

I arrived back in Bank & before I knew it, I was at Momument. I caught a Circle train to Paddington & caught the Bakerloo back to Maida Vale. I topped up my Oyster card to get another week of travel.

Somehow it's legal to park a taxi or 2 in the middle of the road.

By chance, I found out my non talkative room mates are from Iceland (the country, not the chain of stores). The lady of the couple started talking to me in her language when I entered the room this morning. She thought I was her son so started talking. Then she realised it was me.

After introdictions were made, she tells me she wants to come to Australia via South America. I gave her some better ideas.

I haven't seen my Austrian lady friend since the weekend. Her working 10 hour days plus an hour's commute will do that. We have kept in contact online despite living in the same complex (she doesn't sleep above me anymore after I moved to my final booking, my current room).

Were you passing through Paddington this afternoon around 5pm? Saw someone who looked a lot like you lol

The timeframe would have been about right. I changed from the Circle to the Bakerloo at Paddington.

Yeah, that was probably you. I was heading down to the circle line from the heathrow express after taking my wife to LHR for her flight. Normally get a car there but the traffic was horrendous today due to the black cab protest and we were at the Intercontinental Westminster. Lucky the tube station is right across the road! Thankfully it was smooth this evening for my flight to MEL

Is that the one in Kilburn High Road? SWMBO got a bit worried when she learnt the road is called Shoot-up hill a bit further on. We stayed in a flat overlooking the overground station a while back.

I have found West Hampstead a good place for train spotting. every thing from steam excursions to inter-city expresses and the tube, spread across three stations.

NB Shootup Hill was in fact a steep hill, but in more recent years Kilburn has seen more than its fair share of shootings as well.

That is indeed the one at Kilburn High Road. I prefer that one to the one at Willesden Green.

I must go to The cough Tavern (The cough?) for a feed before I go.

Unfortunately the venue for Sunday is called "The Grapes" :D

cough tavern is pretty old but the cheapest (maybe 2nd cheapest) on Kilburn high Road. The twelve bells(?) up near the overground) is slightly cheaper iirc.
Interesting thing about the cough is that they have theatre.

We enjoyed a lovely meal in front of the fire at the Black Lion one lunchtime, but it is very close to Brondesbury station. Had a Sunday evening roast at the cough and it was fine.

Black lion is a very nice pub, but way too pricey for my liking. Last year they were charging well over £4 for a pint. Haven't been back since.

The old dive I used to frequent was the Goose, but that's been yuppified now. There's also another yuppy bar and a few old school Irish pubs. Decent number overall.

Happening a lot all over London. Brixton is a fairly recent example of that...
